I was kicked off the app after 15 days!
I paid $19 on 9/9/26 for full 30 day access. The app kicked me off and did not accept my login information by 9/24/26. The app never sent a password reset link after multiple failed attempts. Did not receive the link in my spam folder either. Support chat is AI bot that did not resolve the situation. Now I am no longer able to request additional password reset links due to all the failed multiple attempts. I do not have access to my account to cancel the subscription. I submitted a ticket for the cancellation request and for the refund because I was not given full access for paid service. A chat bot answered my email regarding the cancellation/refund request. This is fraud at the highest possible level due to the automatic AI bots responding.
Update to this review: the Study Fetch staff directed me to fix the issue by correcting my google account. I was unable to fix my google account and made a different account using Apple with my hotmail account. I asked staff to apply my payment to the new account, easy fix. However, they continued to ask me to fix my google account. I still do not have access. Now I am asking for a refund of half the cost because of only having 15 of the 30 days paid.
Final update- Study Fetch staff honored my request and cancelled the subscription with a full refund. The app did work well before I was kicked out. Trying to get an actual human to assist is the problem. It may appear that I am impatient but the entire point of a study app is to provide quick and easy access. I will stick to using Google Gemini provided by my university for free.

A subscription nightmare – cancellation problems and repeated $96 payment attempts
My experience with StudyFetch began when I originally paid US$96 for StudyFetch Premium in September 2024. It is now September 2026, and, incredibly, I am still having to deal with this company over subscription billing.
What began as problems accessing and using a paid service developed into a prolonged cancellation and payment dispute spanning roughly two years.
I experienced persistent account and login problems, including difficulties accessing the paid service properly and accessing the controls needed to manage my subscription. I contacted StudyFetch for assistance, but what should have been a straightforward matter became an unnecessarily prolonged ordeal.
I eventually stopped using StudyFetch altogether and deleted the app from my device. I have not been using or deriving any benefit from the service for a long time.
More seriously, I expressly asked StudyFetch to cancel my subscription before a subsequent renewal. Despite my communications, the disputed renewal went ahead.
The situation became so frustrating that I ultimately escalated the payment dispute through Barclays and then to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Following that escalation, Barclays agreed to reimburse me in respect of the outstanding September 2025 payment and subsequently confirmed that a cancellation had been recorded against the continuous card payment authority relating to StudyFetch.
You would think that would finally have been the end of it.
It wasn't.
In September 2026 — approximately two years after I originally subscribed, and long after I stopped using and deleted the app — StudyFetch's billing system attempted to charge my card US$96 again. Not once, but twice.
On 17 September 2026, I received an email from StudyFetch notifying me that an attempted US$96 payment had been unsuccessful.
Then, on 22 September 2026, I received another email from StudyFetch stating that the US$96 payment had been unsuccessful again and that they had attempted to charge my Visa for the subscription again.
Thankfully, both payment attempts were unsuccessful.
I find it astonishing that I am still dealing with repeated attempted subscription payments in 2026 after expressly seeking cancellation, escalating the matter through my bank and the Financial Ombudsman Service, and ceasing to use the service a long time ago.
For me, this has gone far beyond the question of whether the study tools themselves are any good. A subscription service should make it straightforward for customers to leave and should deal properly with cancellation requests. A customer should not have to spend this amount of time dealing with recurring billing issues after they have stopped using a service and asked for it to be cancelled.
My overall experience with StudyFetch has been extremely poor. The account-access and usability problems were frustrating enough, but my subsequent experience trying to get the subscription and billing situation resolved has been considerably worse. It has involved repeated correspondence, a banking dispute, escalation to the Financial Ombudsman Service, reimbursement through my bank and, despite all of that, two further attempted US$96 charges in September 2026.
I have retained the relevant correspondence and the emails documenting these unsuccessful payment attempts.
I originally subscribed in September 2024. It is now September 2026. I stopped using the service a long time ago, deleted the app, sought cancellation, took the payment dispute through my bank and the Financial Ombudsman Service, and yet I have still received notifications of two further attempts to charge me US$96. That, more than anything else, sums up my experience with StudyFetch.
My opinion, based on my experience, is simple: avoid StudyFetch. Do not subscribe to this service and do not entrust it with your payment details. I certainly cannot recommend it to anyone. After everything I have had to go through simply to stop using and paying for a service I no longer wanted, my advice is to stay well away.

TWO-FACED, OVERPRICED, AND NOT WORTH YOUR TIME
I honestly can’t believe how two-faced StudyFetch is. At first, I actually thought it was amazing, clean design, helpful features, everything looked super promising. I was genuinely impressed and thought I finally found a good study tool.
But that lasted for maybe a few hours. Not even a full day.
Out of nowhere, EVERYTHING starts getting locked behind premium. Every useful feature? Premium. Want to actually use the app properly? Premium. It’s like they lure you in with a good first impression and then immediately hit you with a paywall at every possible click.
And don’t even get me started on the pricing, it’s ridiculously overpriced for what it offers. There are way better tools out there that don’t constantly beg for your money just to function.
It just feels deceptive. Like they’re pretending to be helpful, but really they just want your wallet. Super disappointing experience.

Hello Inayah, can you please reach out to me through StudyFetch support? Put something like attn: Dan so it gets to me as quickly as possible. You should definitely be able to try everything on the platform at least one time. If for some reason you are not able to I want to make it so you can.
Nudge nudge, Inayah, I would love to get you a proper trial of the software. Thanks, Dan

If you ever subscribe for Studyfech and…
If you ever subscribe for Studyfech and cancel the subscription, make sure that you take a screen shot of the cancelation and delete the account. We canceled the service and they still kept charging the monthly subscription. They only send you confirmation for purchase but not for cancellation, so if you don’t have a screen shot, you cannot prove you canceled the subscription. They make it very challenging to cancel the service. I’m stuck with the charges now and disputing that with my credit card company. Will also cancel my cc so they don’t keep charging me. Stay away from this business. They just want to lock you in and take you money.
