0 star. I purshased an almost 1000$ flight and the airline company cancelled the flight. I called student universe two person told me they gonna refund me 530$ which is half but better than nothing, and then a month later they told me my request of refunding was refused. How and what?! I paid 1000$ in their pocket for a flight that i didn t even cancelled or took ! Ps. They finally did refund me but only half.

They won't refund you. I booked a flight from NY to Montreal (round trip Mar 18-21). I paid $195.99 + insurance, which is $219.94 in total. On March 11 I contacted the agents to cancel the flight because of Covid19. After 10 days of waiting I received an email that says a refund is not an option. And a new credit can be used for another trip in future, but a new travel must be completed by Dec 31 2020. We are in pandemic and there's no guarantee that we are all safe by the end of the year.

How terrible is this company! Appears they spend more time replying to negative FB comments than customer emails. The customer service of this company is atrocious. The staff are deliberately unhelpful and avoid providing assistance for pretty straightforward assistance. For example I have asked on 5 separate occasions for a copy of their complaints process and have been given nothing but lip service by their staff including Justine in the Waltham MA office today.

Disgusting service. After speaking with 3 different travel agents who all told me I could get a refund on my flight (we cancelled ahead of time because we knew that our flights were going through Wuhan, epicentre of the pandemic). Now 4 months later they have decided to tell me that I won't be getting a refund. I am now losing $3200. Never ever book through student universe. Worst experience of a travel agent I've ever had.

I gave them a month to issue my refund only to be told that my refund was denied and I need to pay a $40 processing fee for my refund. I only found that out because I contacted them. They did not send me an email saying that my refund was denied. I will not be using this service for my next trip.

booked flights through Studentuniverse. They then later agreed to refund the money due to their inability to address our subsequent requests. We never used the flights but then later Studentuniverse told us they could not honor their agreement to provide a refund. So they kept our money and we never took the flight. This is not a travel agent, they are thieves.

Terrible service! I booked a flight on the website, the airline cancelled my flight but I got no communication at all from Studentuniverse. I found out about the cancellation by chance, luckily before the flight date, cause I called the airline to book a special meal. A company to avoid!

Avoid student universe and stick with other proven travel agents when booking flights etc. as their service has been deplorable and they have incorrectly charged me. There are several review websites that consistently back this up with consistently poor ratings for student universe with similar complaints. It’s been a battle getting a refund for a cancelled flight but what really disappointed me was that their website incorrectly charged my credit card for a seat selection when I booked my flight. I didn’t select that option when booking the flight so maybe it was just a glitch or something. Mistakes and glitches happen. Therefore, seconds after the payment was processed and I saw that my card was overcharged I immediately sent an email informing student universe that I had been incorrectly charged and asked it to please refund. I also raised the matter during a follow up telephone call. It has been 6 weeks and several follow up emails and phone calls since and I still have not had a response. I have provided evidence in multiple emails that I used all reasonable attempts to inform student universe of the error and to request the refund and they are still ignoring me. I acknowledge that they are busy, but I notice that they respond to feedback on this website within a day or two. So why are they ignoring my genuine attempts to contact them for a refund? Cmon student universe...it’s an obvious and small error on your part. Why don’t you make this right? Student universe caused the error, incorrectly charged me and are pocketing my money. I have informed the consumer protection authorities of this conduct but they will take some time to investigate due to the sheer complaints against student universe. Consumer law safeguards customers for billing errors, particularly when I have evidence that I made a genuine attempt to inform them immediately after being over charged. Please be reasonable student universe and stop wasting everyone’s time. I won’t give up on this one.
