If you call them for changes in your flight or cancelation you better to wait for an hour to talk to them. Definitely go for other options. Bad website to book an flight.

Got VirginAus credits after the border shutdown. Three months later when I try to rebook a flight, they charge me $150 more than what’s available on Virgin website and when I asked for refund because they are not fairly charging me, they said it was voluntary cancellation by me (what?!!) not Virgin so can’t guarantee for refund. Any how I requested for refund and it’s on progress. The way they dealt with the matter over the phone wasn’t sincere at all! Such a disappointing! Just checked their own website selling the same ticket for $170 less than what they charged me. Unfair!!!

Not a reliable agent at all! Booked a flight through them using one of their promo offer to receive an email after two days stating the booking has been cancelled and that I need to rebook the flight. Called them and asked for the refund and they mentioned the refund may take up to 30 days! ridiculous! you charge my account for a service that you failed to serve with and now I'll have to wait for ages to get my money back! WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS WEBSITE AGAIN!!!

Received 2 x $179 flight credits due to a flight cancellation over Christmas. Attempted to rebook for March 2021 for a flight which was of lower value (looking myself on the StudentUniverse website and Virgin directly). Tried to tell me at first that I would have to pay a surplus in cash because the new flights were a higher price than the credits. I called them out on this and then they said they would book the flights. I then get a call back saying sorry you will have to pay a $140 surplus EACH because the original flight was one way and the new flights are round trip. I then have to send them a SCREENSHOT of the new return flights (which had since gone up, but were still $190 TOTAL) which were only $11 different to the credits. AVOID - book directly so if you need to cancel you don’t have to deal with this SHADY company.

Never use student universe to book your ticket. I used it to book my tickets for two times but they canceled it later without any reason. Be safe dont use it.

Unable to travel and use my flight due to border closures. Student Universe refused to refund due to the flight technically still going ahead however I was unable to travel on it. Student Universe finally agreed to give a flight credit however did not give a credit voucher stating I have to call them to book again. I requested again a refund or for a voucher through the airline direct. I was told this voucher through the airline could take up to 3 months for just a response. Poor service, would not recommend or use this company again. Very disappointing.

Useless and genuinely unhelpful staff.

Have been on hold for over 1 hour to change a flight which was canceled due to border closures. My ‘rescheduled’ route is not possible due to border closures - so I have paid for a flight and now have an impossible route which can only be changed by contacting a company which is impossible to get a hold of. I’ve seen other reviews here have lead to positive outcomes - please contact me.
