Strike Crypto Exchange Strikes Out! Avoid at all costs!
I signed up for Strike and went through the procedures of their ID verification process. A window then appeared informing me that I could not be immediately verified and my information would have to be reviewed which would take approximately 2 business days. Not having received any communication from them by the end of the 2nd business business day, I inquired as to the reason for the delay. Three days later I received an email informing me as follows: "We regret to inform you that we can no longer provide you with access to our services and must close your account as a result. Be advised, this decision is final and our support team is unable to provide further updates." This is an outrageous way to treat a prospective customer. I have a credit score in excess of 800, am a home owner, a veteran, and have no criminal record nor have I ever even been questioned by law enforcement in my 78 years of life. I have been victimized a few times by people intruding into my bank account, but in no case was it due to my having divulged information about my account access or debit card to anyone. In short, there is no basis for Strike's peremptory, insulting treatment of me. I have accounts at a half dozen other crypto exchanges and have not received anything but courteous treatment from all of them. Strike is right up there with a couple of other bad actors in the crypto space on the scale of mistreatment of their prospective customers. Their treatment of me was among the most insulting and unfair I have ever received from any firm. I strongly advise avoiding Strike unless one enjoys being mistreated by a business. I don't see them surviving for very long with this sort of customer treatment. Fortunately, I avoided giving them even a cent of my money. I will be reporting this incident to the SEC.

Thanks for sharing this. Strike requires identity checks to meet regulatory obligations and help protect accounts, and not every verification review can be approved. We understand the process felt frustrating and impersonal, but we unfortunately can't always provide details behind account closures due to regulatory reasons. If you have remaining questions, please contact [email protected] so the team can review privately.
