Started out fairly normal until I had a lab course. The people there are not teachers or professionals with any academic background or knowledge. My work was failed repeatedly but the phone monkey didn't open the paper. Simply said to resubmit the paper. 7 times. I had a 97 avg at this point. After 9 submissions someone read the paper and I passed. This is for one assignment. Next assignment was the final one due. I was failed again because my drawing was not correct. No problem, give me a zero and my 1 credit. Nope. They told me to keep resubmitting it. They charge by the month so it is in their interest to delay the completion of a course. Reporting Straighterline to government agency for scams.

I had taken English 102. I had submitted my assignments and 3 essays shown up as a 0 like I did not turn anything in. I was at like a 97% completion for that reason. Called to try to resubmit the essays since they were on my computer and done, the 2nd attempt option did not show on my portal as explained, so I was told to do the upgrade. I completed the upgrade and that started my course over. I called about it, because all I wanted to do was resubmit the essays to better the 0's, now with the upgrade, I am back to 37% completion, having to rewrite whole essays. There was no mention of starting the course over. That was very frustrating and everyone just kept saying it was fewer assignments when if all actuality it was more, since I have literally completed the other work. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Do not buy English Composition. The Turninit is terrible! Make yourself a service and shop around.

Straighterline is not worth the cheap tuition. The lessons are way to long with irrelevant material! 50 pages a chapter is unreal when in a normal college setting a chapter is 10-15 pages. Not manageable, and the quizzes/test doesn't even relate to what I read. I took A&P 2, and when I took the quiz none of the notes which were ridiculous to begin with having such extensive lessons didn't have any relevance to the topic I spent 4 hours reading, causing me to ultimately fail. Do not recommend at all, it's a waste of your time and money since the classes set you up for failure. And the tutors they provide are never online so I'm left stranded. Thank you so much for the absolute worst online class experience of my life.

I signed up for straighterline believing that it was a 1 month membership to complete my class, and that if I didnt complete the course in one month that I would have to go back and purchase another month for $100. But in reality even though I finished my course before the month was up, it kept renewing my membership, and didnt send me any emails so now Im down $200 and I didnt use the website that entire time. I then reached out to get a refund and they denied me a refund

Ancient videos. Unclear instruction.

It seemed cheap, I took physics through straighterline, and it was not great. 80% percent of the class is video, but the last 2 units you get a 1000 page book, and are completely on your own… to learn thermodynamics! Not fun, not intuitive, and not well taught.
