Never again
Everything was going well until the final which consisted of a case analysis and a final exam with a proctor. If you’re not tech savvy, straighter line is not for you. I completed my case analysis which wasn’t too difficult, however the recording yourself presenting the case analysis and your PowerPoint was the extremely difficult part. After realizing there was a specific site we needed to use for the recording (mind you I asked my sister to record me which we had to redo at least 4x) it took a few tries to figure out how to navigate the recording site itself. So after being frustrated by that you have to upload it to YouTube. BUT BEWARE, you have to make the video visible to everyone AND SAVE it. I guess I didn’t save it so I got 0/200 on the case analysis which I had to redo. NOT HAPPY. Then moving onto the final exam, the proctor was zero help. I asked them if the time we needed to look over our answers was apart of the 2 hours testing time and he did not know the answer. I asked him if I should unsubscribe from straighter line immediately after the test so that I am not charged as the next month was starting the next day, he also did not know the answer to this. Point being: the proctors don’t know anything and cannot help you with anything other than technical issues with the difficult to download browser they MAKE you download. These two things were enough to tarnish my experience with straighterline as it was an extremely stressful process due to the technical difficulties that arise. I would 1000% advise everyone against using this to complete your credits. For me, it was not worth the hassle. ALSO, ZERO support along the way when situations do arise. There is nobody to reach out to. The student advisors LOL! A joke! They help out NONE! I asked a simple question to the student advisor having to do with changing my time zone setting so that I wouldn’t miss the final exam TWICE (which they didn’t have my time zone.. weird) and she was of no help. I called the student advisors 3x for 3 different reasons and not once did they help me. I’ve already let my university know that I would never take a class here again and that they should not recommend it to future students
