My new V9 just arrived and on September 29, 2025 I unboxed and updated the firmware. Several functions do not work now. I have zero miles on the wheel. I contacted inmotion support and they said "1-2 days before we can get back to you with a solution". I wait 2 days and... nothing. Support told me "Just ride the wheel. Those functions won't impact how the wheel rides." I told support this is the equivalent of buying a new car and driving it off the lot only to discover the radio doesn't work then being told by the sales person to "just drive the car and stop worrying about the broken radio." I told inmotion I want to return the wheel and get a refund and that is when they stopped communication with me.

1st thing inmotion can do is offer a…
1st thing inmotion can do is offer a better warranty on a $4,000 scooter.
2nd, improve their customer service skills. Its like the people you speak to have programmed responses like you're talking to an automated person. Example:John at inmotion.
3rd, just produce better quality parts and a reliable/dependable product.
I've had my inmotion rs since June 21, 2024. Its only been ridden maybe a total period of 9 months, and not every day. It's put away for the winter months. I've never ridden it the snow or rain. Its put away in my house for the cold winter months. So it's never never been exposed to cold or wet conditions. It has 1194 miles on it. In the first 4-5 months, the rear controller went bad. Last month, the display stopped working. Inmotion wouldn't work with me so I had to go through Voro Motors to purchase one since Inmotion wanted twice as much for the same part. I've had some sort of squeaking/rubbing noise coming from the rear wheel. Possibly a bearing noise. Still don't know, but it's extremely annoying. Now, as of yesterday, the code 008 came up on the display. Possible battery replacement needed. At over $1600 for a battery on a $4,000 electric scooter that you've barely had 14 months is absolutely ridiculous! 🤬
I will give inmotion the chance and opportunity to make this right or I plan on contacting the BBB, consumer affairs, and the attorney general. Also, I will go viral with my story with intent to criple any future sales of the inmotion rs scooter. I really don't want to go those routes, but I will if needed. Its sad, because I've actually enjoyed this scooter until all these problems surfaced. If, somehow, this problem gets fixed, my next question is going to be "what's next?"

My inmotion climber is under warranty
My inmotion climber is under warranty. It’s been just over 8 weeks and unfortunately still unresolved. The company has been good at trying to get my issue sorted until now. When the issue arose they noted it was the front motor - they posted one out and i had to pay for postage and replace it myself as they have lost their dealers here in Australia. Nonetheless i accepted this and paid for the postage and watched YouTube video to get the front motor on. To get this delivered took weeks as their shipping department was really slow - i had to call and complain to have it expedited. Once received I installed it and the issue was not resolved. Anyhow it was then decided that it was the controller. Again i paid for shipping (should not have to as under warranty) and i had to install it (again should not have to as under warranty and i am not a professional). Watched YouTube video- the scooter is now a shell as everything had to be removed, and to my shock the part does not fit the scooter as the drill holes do not align. The companies response to the fix is that i need to go out and buy metal, cut it in half etc. so in other words i have no skill and no tools and i have to carry out this myself. I have requested on a few occasions a call back - completely ignored. My final request was that they either return my money, give me a new scooter or they search for an representative to fix my scooter. They have rejected all 3 and noted that i search for a professional which means i would have to pay for the repairs. My last reply was that they cover that cost and i am awaiting their reply. Very disappoined by the company to leave their clients without a scoooter, used to get me to work and on top of that, that i carry out all my own repairs and pay for them. If you are in Australia, buy Australian. Biggest regret is buying this scooter. Spend a little extra for the ease of mind.
EDIT: the scooter was purchased at ScooterHut. They are no longer in business, at the date of writing this review, thus i went straight to Inmotion for warranty. They argue that they have no obligation to cover the warranty (they noted it’s Scooterhut) and that they have been helpful at looking after me. This is where our differences lie. I have contacted Consumer Affairs weeks ago and they insisted that manufacturers must follow Australian law ie any product that enters our shores must not contravene the Act. I will contact them again tomorrow to confirm this.

Dear Jerry,
We understand your frustration and would like to clarify the situation. Your purchase was made through Scooter Hut. Unfortunately, that store has since closed. Despite this, we have already provided $505 USD worth of replacement parts to you at no cost for the parts themselves, which is far beyond our standard obligations as the manufacturer in cases where the selling dealer is no longer in operation. Please note that the shipping fees you paid were charged by the logistics company, not by InMotion. If you would like a refund, you will need to contact your original seller (Scooter Hut). We do not have your order information. We value every customer and invest significant effort to assist even when the issue arises from a dealer closure. The description in your Trustpilot review does not accurately reflect our real support, and it is discouraging for our team, who have worked hard to help you. We kindly request that you consider removing or amending your review to reflect the facts. We hope this clarifies our position and the steps available to resolve your case.
Best regards,

I'm so disappointed
I'm so disappointed. I've spent over $1,100 here in the last year. My first scooter (Climber) was fine, so I bought another one (AirPro), which at 450 euro, was close to USD $500. It arrived in April and stopped charging by May after barely ONE MONTH. After troubleshooting in vain, I emailed for help twice this month. It's about to become July and I haven't even had a response. Of any kind. No less the help I need and deserve. I'd be happy to take this up with someone capable, responsive, and empowered to see me through. Please provide contact name and email or phone and I'll follow up, thx.

In reply to my last review
In reply to my last review, NO, I don't have the wrong store. YES, as I mentioned, I bought the scooter through Amazon; that part is correct. HOWEVER, the warranty is through your company, not Amazon. So, my last review STILL stands. The only reason you are replying now is because I had to post reviews in order to get a reply. Crazy how that works. So, both this and my last review are for the INMOTION store. The only mistake here is that you guys think its ok to take a whole week to come up with a solution when I explained how urgent this matter was to me because I depend on it to get to school and my classes. The customer service is 10/10 DON'T RECOMMEND! It's insane that just because the scooter was bought through Amazon, you want to wash your hands as if your service is immaculate, and it's not! The warranty is through INMOTION, not them.

InMotion RS and RS Lite
InMotion is selling the RS and RS Lite with faulty controllers which put rider safety at risk. They know this and don’t care. Beware
Error 117 and 217 refer to controllers failing and cutting power to your scooter while in use. This left my scooter dead in the water in the middle of high speed traffic, others have reported the scooter failing while climbing bridges and on steep inclines. They ship the scooters knowing the controllers will fail but do not care. I have just a few hours of use on mine at 200 miles and it’s now failing. InMotion is playing with peoples lives.

Dear Dave,
We are very sorry to hear about your experience. At InMotion, customer safety is our top priority, and we take product reliability very seriously. If you are experiencing issues with your scooter, we strongly recommend that you pause usage for safety reasons.
However, we noticed that your product was not purchased directly from our official website, which limits our ability to provide a direct solution. We encourage you to contact your original seller for support, as they may have specific warranty or service options available.
Leaving a negative review on our official page may not be fair since we were not involved in your purchase or post-sales support. We kindly ask you to consider removing the review. If there is anything we can do to assist within our capacity, please let us know.
Thank you for being so understanding.
Best regards,
InMotion Team

Uhh... Buyer beware
Site claims 15 day worry free return policy. Beware! When you go to the link on their website for the actual return policy, they claim to not accept returns, basically for any reason. Oh yeah also if you maybe did have a reason they accepted it's a 25% restocking fee?
I was sold on an "Early Black Friday" promotion where the image showed a 2024 "lowest price guarantee" then guess what? A week after I'd received it they lowered the price $50 and I asked for a rebate. They told me my cost was only specific to the time limited "promotion"in which my purchase was made. All they did was offer a discount on another one of their products which is absurd... Even when you start up their app to control settings on the scooter you have to wait for an advertisement trying to sell you on more of their stuff! The product itself is somewhat satisfactory but what an absolute garbage customer experience :(

Hello Jerrel,
Thank you for your feedback. We understand your concerns and appreciate the opportunity to clarify our policies.
Our return policy is clearly stated on our website and applies to all customers. Once a product has been used, it is not eligible for return, which is standard for high-value electronic transportation devices.
You can find our full return policy here: https://store.inmotionworld.com/pages/return-refund-policy.
The price difference you mentioned was due to market fluctuations around Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which is common in seasonal promotions.
That said, we value your satisfaction and have also sent you a complimentary $69 phone mount as a gesture of goodwill.
Regarding the app, any promotional content displayed is part of our limited-time campaigns and can be closed if not needed. We appreciate your understanding and patience. If you have any further concerns, feel free to reach out to us.
Best regards,

FLAGSHIP RS DOA
FLAGSHIP RS: Dead line on arrival. Crushed brake line making the machine inoperable and to this day it is not operational. Huge safety concern.
From my understanding brakes are the only safety feature this machine has!
Yes, Inmotion sent a replacement which took two weeks (making one week to receive and three weeks and counting of regret)
It is a fine machine but after doing more research, it has a lot of production issues.
Customers are praising a company for sending replacement parts of a product after owning it less than a year or on arrival. This odd because naturally this means the product is not good or reliable.
The need for speed should not exceed the product's reliability!
You buy a product, customer service is included! It should not ever come as a surprise that you were taken care of.
It's like giving a restaurant 5 stars because of the service, yet the food was horrible and needed to be sent back and back and back. You did not order the food to see how many times the server would be kind enough to replace the order.
This machine needs better QC and QA.
So what happened...
Inmotion was horrible in their customer responses, as it seems to use an AI response to emails, as the articulation is not natural for any human on this planet.
Once I informed Inmotion about the brakes the same day of delivery, there was no sense of urgency to correct the brake damage. They stated someone would get back with me in 2-3day business days, so unacceptable.
Someone/thing did contact me through email days later.
They gave Three options! None of which suggest a replacement scooter, a partial refund or refund.
A repair that would cost me a lot of money to have this machine shipped off to a tech. Or they can send the part and I can fix it myself...A Brand new scooter mind you. I didnt pay 4k to wrench a brand new scooter, but I guess I did!
IMO for now stay away from this company as they have too many red flags in their product. (Bad motors, too many error codes, controller issues, it seems the machine breaks easy under to much load/heat. )
And the use CEVA a one star carrier for deliveries, WHY?
They are selling over priced products that have a very short shelf life, may it seems.
As well as the reviews they are posting are internal employees as I have spoken personally with serval of them that have left reviews on this site. This is not something a STR8 up company would do!

Dear Terrell,
We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience with the RS did not meet your expectations. At InMotion, customer satisfaction and product quality are our top priorities, and we regret any inconvenience you’ve faced.
Regarding the brake line issue, we understand how frustrating it must have been. Unfortunately, shipping damage can sometimes occur despite our best efforts. However, we acted quickly by sending a replacement brake line, as well as a complimentary phone mount as a goodwill gesture. It’s important to note that the damage did not render the scooter inoperable, and your usage history shows that you have ridden 2,588.9 km on the scooter.
We appreciate your feedback regarding logistics and quality control and are continuously working to improve our shipping partners and customer service processes. While we acknowledge that no product is perfect, we are committed to enhancing reliability and addressing concerns as efficiently as possible.
If you have any further concerns, please feel free to reach out to our support team. We value your input and hope to provide you with a better experience moving forward.
Best regards,
InMotion Team
