Nice property
Nice property, extremely comfortable beds, Even had a very friendly dog visit us every morning for petting and a snack. Enjoyed our stay

The house was beautiful
The house was beautiful. It has everything you would need. Not far to Wolf Pen trails which made it very convenient. Only thing we would suggest is to have blinds in all of the windows.

Quiet and Scenic
I have family in Mena so we visit often. We typically stay at the Lodge on Rich Mountain but because their restaurant was closed my wife found a cabin available at Stonehill. I'm reluctant to give a good review because I don't want everyone booking here ahead of us but I won't stay anywhere other than Stonehill from now on. It's beautiful and quiet. I deducted a star because the shutters have been taken down in the Quarter House so you feel a bit like living in a fishbowl, but I’m sure that’s temporary. The Myers have created something very special.

Gosh Richard, those shutters you speak of are only available through custom order (months to receive upon order). If someone tears up a set of shutters we have no choice but to remove them and wait for the replacement set. Reviews are very important to our business. I suspect you can tell that we take great pride in our business. Reviews last forever. You’re right about the temporarily missing shutter: We wish you had seen fit to not remove a star over that considering it is 100% out of our control. But such it is. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

We love it here
We love it here! The addition of the lake is wonderful. We kayaked for the first time and loved it! We came home and bought 2 kayaks lol. It is a shame that guests have not taken better care of the kayaks :( The reason for 4 stars: The floors were not very clean and there were dirty dishes on the stacks of dishes on the shelves. Also, I recommend having two fly swatters in each cottage!
