Yikes! I am so sorry to all the people who did not have a good experience with Stilt. My first application was denied, but the representatives worked with me and advised me cordially of why I was denied and what would need to change, for me to be approved. I have since then received multiple small loans from them, understanding that I am not in the financial position to be approved for larger amounts (was denied a second time for a slightly higher amount). They do require that you have a steady income, and I know this is a hurdle as an F1 or undocumented individual, BUT they are still a financial institution- Imagine being approved for anything without an income? Very grateful to have found this company. They are literally the only reason I was able to make it through these past 3 years, paying Out of State tuition. If you are looking to get a loan with them, try to be realistic with your options and definitely be patient. It takes a little while to hear back from them, but they do follow up when you send emails/texts/chat messages etc. I 100% recommend. Thank you Yves and the rest of the Stilt team! x
