Overall great Pediatric Stethoscope! Would never buy any other brand after 35 years as a pediatric nurse! Just did not realize how bright red the color was, and wished I’d seen the deeper red color instead.

My wife's Littmann stethoscope plastic parts were cracking- decided it was time to get a new one. So many other sites online showed stock but when I went to place the order, they said out of stock. My wife had heard at work about 'some place in Sudbury that had stethoscopes'. Found them online, they too were out of stock of a lot of the Littmann Master Classic II scope, but it was clearly stated. The model with the black tubing and silver chestpiece showed as in stock. Wanted to see if I could get it quickly, called the store, person that answered was very helpful. Said store was not letting customers in, but if I needed it really fast, they would put it in the lobby for me to pick up. Got it engraved and it was still ready for pickup in under an hour. I should note that I had placed an order online at ANOTHER supplier. I didn't get and estimated delivery date, tried to call, couldn't through so I had to send an email to support asking for a delivery date. Got and email the next day later saying it was out of stock and back ordered. Then had to call the company to get a delivery date and was told that it would be 6 to 7 weeks out. Cancelled the order (I will say that the service rep was very polite and helpful with that). Sometimes it is just better to shop local!!!

This is a very picky review, but when you spend $140 on a stethoscope I feel like it is okay to be picky. In short, I got the 3M Littman Classic III Black Burgundy with my name engraved. Shipping was fast and the engraving was beautifully done. The stethoscope works great, and I can hear things I never knew were there with my student scope. My ONLY issue is that on the website, the burgundy part of the stethoscope appeared solid red. This was the aesthetic I was going for. When it arrived, it looked much more dark purple. That's all. It's a tool for my job, and I'll use it. And it's purple.
