STEL Hosting is a joke. Their uptime in Texas is terrible. Our Minecraft server's down more than it's up. Performance means nothing if you can't even use the server for more than half of the time. They keep bragging about having DDOS protection, but it's all buzzwords. In one week, they had DDOS issues because their "protection" is useless AND hardware failures. On August 30, servers were down. Dean has no clue what he's doing. They use cheap hardware and even have the audacity to post pictures of their cheaply built servers. Save yourself the headache and avoid STEL Hosting. They're unreliable, their false advertising is misleading, and their service is terrible. Don't waste your time or money on this disaster of a hosting service. We found them on Reddit and we should have known better to never use these crappy Reddit hosts. Welp I did warned my friend, but he made the final call and look where that got him. We learned our lesson after this.

Dean is the GOAT when it comes to handling concerns and issues. Every time my server ran into a problem (almost always self-inflicted due to mod conflicts), I was met with genuine concern over resolving the situation. Their staff was even willing to extend our trial period due to the issue, and expressed interest in finding a workaround to the problem that didn't involve removing the mod that was causing most of our problems, stating something along the lines of "we would feel bad if you had to remove a core part of your experience due to our hardware". I feel bad that I hesitated to try STEL out on account of their seemingly small presence on social media and word of mouth. They should be a bigger name in the industry they're targeting, and I foresee myself using them for some time.

We’ve been running a heavily modded Minecraft server for years. We were experiencing major lag while using a popular hosting service. We decided to switch hosting services and we are thrilled that we did. Everything works flawlessly. After setting things up, I had a question and made a support ticket. I had a response in one day.
