Only recently started using static app but it's a great service. I messed something up early on too, and their customer support was swift and fixed it all for me. Very affordable too.

I've contacted their customer support for a few things while I've gotten my site up. Every time, they have had a great response - directly fixed bugs, confirmed engineering details where needed, and even changed back-end settings to make my workflow easier. This is the best customer service experience I've had from any company in a great long while.

Terrible file uploading system. Barely EVER works. Other than that, it's great!

I published my page using the free trial mode on this service. When 7 days passed, my page was automatically deleted. I didn't receive even single E-mail message about the fact it is going to happen. No, it didn't go to spam folder, I'm checking it every time I check the inbox. AI support agent on their site told me that I need to upgrade to a paid plan and to recreate the page, and they will also not keep my domain. Human support agent suggested to tell them the name of my page if I planned to upgrade to the paid plan, so that they could look it up in the latest backups. So they couldn't even store the name of the site I created for 7 days. I am shocked by this data treatment. -- Update: The allegations of illegal activity and the claim that the company "knew something was off from the very beginning" are unfounded. At no point prior to my own outreach regarding the issue described at the start of my review did the service contact me about security concerns. After I posted my Trustpilot review, they offered two months of premium access in exchange for a rating change—an arrangement I was willing to discuss, and at that time no security issues regarding my account were raised. My website hosted nothing more than a two-step guide explaining how to pin the Chrome extension after installation, and the site link was accessed only once per user during that process. When they later demanded the extension URL, I asked why it was necessary and received this response: "Could you please respond to our question with the requested information and avoid the chat discussion here in support? Please send us the link to your advertised extension for review." The dismissive tone and refusal to give a substantive explanation ended my willingness to cooperate. My Chrome extension has already passed Google’s Web Store review and fully complies with all relevant policies. I am prepared to provide Trustpilot with any supporting information needed to confirm the authenticity of this experience and to demonstrate that no illegal activity occurred on my part.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We want to clarify the situation because the activity from this account raised serious concerns on our side. From the start, this account triggered our fraud and abuse detection systems. When this happens, our policy requires us to verify the identity of the account holder and request details about the project. These verification requests were not completed, so we were unable to confirm that the activity was legitimate. The account was on a free trial only and no paid subscription was ever started. The project was published using only a free subdomain and was promoted externally in a way that increased our security concerns. According to our Acceptable Use Policy, we cannot allow unverified activity of this kind. Our system also generated standard trial expiration notifications and sent them to the email provided at registration. We do not control how individual mail providers handle incoming messages. Because the activity matched patterns of misuse and the account holder declined the required verification checks, the account was blocked as a security safeguard. We support genuine and transparent reviews. Due to the suspicious nature of the account activity and the refusal to comply with required verification, we have reported this case to Trustpilot for suspected misuse of the review system. If the account holder chooses to provide the requested verification details, our support team can review the case further.

I'm a fan. As a 90s kid who learned HTML in 8th grade. This was the fastest way for me to get a quick little web page up and going. Adding my domain was easy, certificate was cool, appreciate them handling that as well. I was like "WHY CANT I USE HTTP I DONT WANT HTTPS" and then I was like oh wait they gonna make it https for me, noice.

Says Free website but asks for credit card information. Why you deceive people? It would be great to make money with transparency!
Response from Static.appSep 16, 2025
Hello, we do not request credit card details for the free trial plan. Once the trial period ends, you may decide whether to continue with our service. If you wish to proceed, you will need to select a subscription plan and provide your credit card information. Should you have any further questions, our customer care team will be happy to assist you through our support ticket system. Please leave a message in our chat, and we will get back to you promptly.

I moved a website that had been built on a university computer to Static.app because the university was shutting down the server the site was on. I had a copy of the site in a .zip file and uploading that to Static.app was easy. I had to have the university change the site's DNS record, but there is a page in the app that explains exactly what to tell the DNS gurus. There is another page that you get to by clicking on your website, then settings, then entering your custom domain that I had trouble finding, but support was awesome and it's all working great now.

Its really frustrating for this account suspension once you have uploaded the zipped file. Does this thing even work or they are here to collect peoples information. Or there is something i am missing!

Hi David, We care deeply about both our service’s reputation and that of our clients. We do not tolerate spam or scams on our platform. Your account may have been suspended due to a triggered security measure. There are various reasons this can happen. I recommend reaching out to our support team so they can review your account and reactivate it if they determine it’s safe to use. Thank you, Andrian
