Invested in a company in 2020 and have been waiting 3 years for them to go public. This is okay, because I believed in the company and leadership initially. The company was set to go public August 11th through a merger. I was not notified about my shares until August 12th. A full day after the company had become publicly traded. Then I was notified that it would take 2-3 days for the transfer from the stock transfer company to my actual brokerage. This compounded the problem. As a result, I found myself unable to exit my position even though the stock's value had already dropped over 50% within the first day of trading. Start engine refuses to make it right and says that it is out of their control since it's a publicly traded instrument. Basically they gave the founders time to exit and left all of the seed investors holding a bag. Don't do business with this scam of a company.

Still waiting on my shares from SeedInvest to transfer. Every time i email them a question i get the same, not at all helpful form response. I doubt a person actually reads the emails. I just get the vibe they push you to deposit money, invest in anything, so they can take their cut. What happens after you invest doesn't seem to be a priority to them.

I like the idea of Startengine, but I am quickly put off when their website fails to work. I have money that I want to invest, or at least, in this case, provide to startengine to hold on my behalf for a potential IPO. I don’t feel comfortable doing this anymore. When every time time I go to invest, their website hangs up, or spins into oblivion. You would think that if they are raising millions of dollars for other companies, they would invest the time for themself and clean up their website and make it working for people. Editing: After numerous attempts to gind a support phone (there is none) i logged help on their site and recieved this canned response twice (this was after a login was done with my google acct to start engine) never a phone call or helpful answer. If you are offering a legitimate product, you usually don't go about it like people selling penis enlargement pills and deposed Nigerian princes. So, maybe yall could not email me? It does not bode well that your product is so bereft of positive reviews and customer recommendations that this is how you solicit leads. But if you are gonna spam me... Can-spam compliance would mandate that yall rewrite the email subject to indicate the nature of the contents (ie prefacing the subject with "SCAM:"). Can-spam compliance also requires an address where process servers can reach yall. I know you have an address included in the emails, but floor three seems pretty unspecific. If you could help me understand where you are in relation to the other businesses which also occupy the 3rd floor such as The Bravo Law Firm, The Folding Scooter Store, and Worldly Treasures Liquidators that would be awesome. And if yall don't have the ability to receive mail at this address it's not a big deal, just put a real address down. Basement as a first line, followed by your parent's address is usually a pretty safe bet.

It's a black hole! Putting money in is easy. Getting your money out is next to impossible. I'm to the point of just chalking it up to a bad decision on my part. I caution everyone to think twice.

Total scam!! I made a clerical error tying my name LAST YEAR! They STILL won't make it right even after I sent a copy of my ID and US Passport!!!! How can "Mr. Wonderful" pt his name on this business?????????

Scam , they take your money for ten months play around with it then give back saying that you have reached the requirements , totally useless
