I had a new device, which was not working. The customer support had no waiting time and the gave me a lot of time to find the problem, to check the item, but also connected items. they were friendly and in no way patronising. If I need something else and Startech has it - I will buy it.

The products that are being sold are at reasonable prices but the staff aren't so cooperative and the delivery services are very poor for example the delivery service has huge delay there time management is very horrible with poor communication system.

I ordered from the website directly and was immediately phoned by a CSR to fix a shipping error. This CSR also saved me money on the product and shipping by directing me to the best buying/shipping options. After the call she was very prompt with e-mail correspondence. She truly went above and beyond.

Independent Ebespacher hydronic heater on my MB Sprinter stopped working and I needed a diagnostic to find out why. The service was booked and provided following day. The end result: paid £91 for 15min of their time. The heater could not be diagnosed (no data) and no other fault reported. Personal view: I would be ashamed to charge any of my customer for offering no answer to their problem.

Bought an SSD caddy. What a great piece of kit. Well made with details considerably more than I expected. Even an inbuilt LED drive notification. Lockable, with 2 keys provided. Highly recommended.

I had a defective HDMI to DP adapter, they replaced it in less than a week for no charge, I didn't even have to send the broken one back!

Startech agreed to replace my defective unit and even took my credit card but then decided not to. Did not honor their word. I used to think highly of Startech but my recent experience has changed all that. A company that does not honor their agreements cannot be trusted. I have a USB 3.0 eSATA Dual 3.5-Inch SATA III Hard Drive RAID Enclosure that started exhibiting bizarre behaviour with the LEDs. I contacted their tech support abount it and after wasting quite some time they could not explain it or tell me what the LEDs staying on meant. They finally offered to replace the product and took my credit card number and details for an advance replacement. After waiting several days for the replacement I contacted them again and was advised that they had decided not to send me a replacement. Words cannot express my contempt for a company like that.
