Two complaints: 1) Upon check-in, we were told we still owed the full balance. However, we had paid in full 2+ weeks in advance. It seems someone didn't input our payment properly. We sent confirmation directly to the front desk and was told it would be fine. This was a relatively small delay upon check-in, but then 2 days later we had a note on our door telling us to call the office. Turns out, no one made note of that confirmation we sent 2 days previously, so we had to call and spend more time re-explaining the situation. 2) Upon arriving at our unit, the Air Conditioning Unit was not on and clearly had not been running. Very hot. Luckily for us, we were only stopping in and then going out for the rest of the night. When we returned, to their credit, it was working and has worked for the remainder of our stay, very well. I'd probably give it somewhere closer to 3.5 stars if I could, but, not truly a 4+ experience this time around. All of that said, we have stayed at properties on Vista Cay for about 5-6 years now and will almost certainly be returning again.

We rent once a month in Florida and for the house to be hot the entire weekend after attempting to adjust the temp several times was unacceptable, the hot water went cold after the second person took a quick shower, and finally we had to remove all the linens from the beds and place in laundry area. What is the purpose for paying the cleaning fee?

The house was nice and big enough for everybody. There are a few things that not enjoyable. The house has absolutely no ceiling fans. We were able to turn the temp down to 72, but it doesn't stay there. It eventually turned itself up to a higher temp. In this case it would be nice to have ceiling fans to supplement airflow. The house has 6 bedrooms, but 4 of those bedrooms contain 2 twin beds. It would be nice to have 3 bedrooms fit for adults and 3 bedrooms suitable for kids. The tv in 2 of the bedrooms did not work. The first night there it wasn't figured out til we went to bed (cause initially we all watched TV in the living room). We tried to fix it ourselves to no avail. Starmark was notified and they notified the local property manager. This was a Wed. The property manager did not come and fix the tv until Fri. So that was essentially 3 nights without the use of that bedroom TV. The other tv was in a room that nobody stayed in, but we couldn't change rooms because that tv didn't work either. Another thing that we didn't like was that the spa that is attached to the pool is NOT a hot tub. We took it to be one. So when we emailed to ask about it we were told that to get it heated the entire pool would have to be heated as well. It would only change the temp by 10-15° and it would be $40/night. That was not worth the money. Last, but not least, the subdivision is a huge vacation rental area so the streets are very very crowded. That is something obviously not in control of Starmark, but since the streets are not the widest in the world it would be nice if there was no street parking allowed to make it easy for incoming and outgoing traffic. Other than those few things it was a great time. We enjoyed the pool most of the time. The access to the clubhouse was great for the kids to have a few different pool activities other than what can be done at the house. The daily garbage pick up is something I've never heard of, but very handy with big families....especially since we ordered take out a lot. The access to the city and major attractions was decent. There is nightly traffic coming back 4E to due to Disney so that was something we planned around accordingly.

Nice house with zero basic supply: no trash bags, salt or paper, no even basic sponge to wash dishes. It was annoying to buy all basic supply by ourselves and spend maybe $200

The add on Expedia said the cleaning charge was $120. I thought it was a bit high but agreed to it . After booking I called to confirm with Starmark and the cleaning charge was $198.00.(crazy high) They (Starmark) would not comply with their add. A heads up to anyone booking with Starmark: Call them to find out how much their fees are before booking. The place that I was given once in Orlando was clean and functional. It was older and in need of an upgrade.

this is second time I have used this company, I had much better experience on first time . my most recent experience, the house was old, but still clean. We loved the swimming pool, I would recommend this company but make sure you choose the perfect house for your vacation.

House- good location, relatively clean; Pool- liner/interior dirty, charges for heating pool; On the cheap policy-- extremely limited supplies i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, hand soap, only two washcloths provided all inadequate for house that sleeps six people; Four twin mattresses- flipped off the box springs--after calling to complain, the mattresses were changed; Instructions to put out garbage-- garbage was put out to curb but NOT picked up, cans moved back from end of driveway by unknown person??? Instructions re: thermostat to be kept no lower than 72 degrees, two separate days returned to house after being away all day and found thermostat at 69 and 70 degrees??? Overall, we would NOT rent with Starmark again! Deference and response to clients far better at hotel/motel.

The location is desirable, in close proximity to the stores, disney parks, and restaurants. I was surprised to get an upgrade on the private pool, (although it was small, it was sufficient enough for the kids to play at). The house could use a little update as far as the mattresses and beddings. The pillows were all flat and bed squeaks when you move. I think it might have some bed bugs too because towards the end of our trip, almost everyone of us was itching. There were also 2 instances when we found cockroaches, once in one of the bathrooms, the other time was in one of the bedrooms. The last thing that I wish could be fixed is the fact that the owner used the unit as their storage, there were paint cans, remnants of flooring, and other stuff in one of the closet, which also smelled like mold. I know those things can be a big deal to somebody else, but we were able to make the most of it. I just hope it can be addressed for the next renter. We stayed at 2361 Silver Palm Drive
