The Garage Stair Railing is excellent once it is installed. The installation video is helpful but omits many helpful aspects of installing the railing. When the original flat mounting plates need to be removed in order to connect the L brackets to the railing, it is virtually impossible to rotate the L brackets into the desired position since the set screw tension cannot be adjusted when using an allen wrench to do. I had to put the rail in a vise to be able to turn the tension screw. There were no written installation instructions enclosed in the box with the rail. This caused me to watch the video about a dozen times to try and detect what had been omitted in the presentation. The suggestion that a skilled professional could perform the installation in approximately twenty minutes is absolutely incorrect. The video does not explain what size drill bit should be used for the pilot holes, or does it explain which of the two different sets of the 4" screws should be used. I chose to use the ones with more threading on the shaft of the screw. I believe that the other screws are probably stronger and would be less likely to breakoff. Most of the screws were loose in the box when I opened it and that included each type of screw. Once I had the railing installed the Garage Stair Railing is an excellent product and is very useful. The only reason that I did not give this product an exceptional five star rating was due to the reasons that I listed above.

Few times you’ll find a company that is putting in effort, stays on top of every detail, and tries to make sure you have all the necessary information. I was nervous about placing an order that was all walnut, but it was packaged well and all materials were machined not ce and clean. A little final finish sanding and everything was ready for finish. Everything was dead accurate and met my standards and they are pretty high. My customer LOVES how everything turned out.

The rail arrived in just a few days and was relatively easy to install. We used it in our garage where the concrete steps into the house are uneven. The rail makes us feel more secure, especially if we are carrying groceries, etc.
