Unfortunate First Day
Good morning to those that are reading this. I am writing this review to explain my experience with stag head designs. A majority of the experience was fine, customer service can take a few days to get back to emails but they were able to find designs I had in mind. After purchasing a stone I wanted to use they custom made it and had it shipped with 2-3 months. All in all the ring looked great and I was super happy with my purchase as it is exactly what my fiance had in mind. Why the 1 star ? The day i popped the question to my now fiance, she was extra careful with the ring taking it off before dressing showering etc. We left it on the nightstand to be sure nothing happened to the ring while sleeping that first night, and in the morning we had discovered one of the accessory stones had actually popped out after 1 day of use. We thought it would be almost impossible to find it if it was lost during the day but we actually managed to find the stone & a small chip on the floor / night stand. The accessory stone that was damaged was green tourmaline. Unfortunately we spent the 2nd day of the engagement trip figuring out how to repair / replace the stone, ultimately we decided to ship it back out to stag head designs where they said they would cover the cost of replacement. The estimated repair times is around 4-6 weeks, which is a huge bummer as my fiance is very disappointed she is without her engagement ring for so long. We took it to a local jeweler to get a 2nd opinion and the cost of stone replacement would've been cheaper and faster to get it replaced at that store than to get a rush order completed with staghead which would've costed like $250 dollars. The local jeweler also mentioned that they also would have honored the repair / replacement on the house and would have gotten it fixed in 1-3 days compared to 4-6 weeks not including shipping times back and forth. All in all I ultimately recommend going with a local jeweler, that way you have a physical store you can go to in case there are any issues with whatever ring you purchase. It's definitely a huge bummer to have something like this happen after the first day of use and we might not have the ring back in time for our engagement party. I hope this is helpful to any potential buyers.

Hi Mason! We’re truly sorry this happened, especially just one day after your engagement. We completely understand how disappointing this was, and we’re sorry this took away from what should have been such an exciting time. As soon as we heard what happened, we offered to repair the ring free of charge. The $250 mentioned was for our optional rush service to expedite the repair due to the requested timeline. We’re genuinely sorry for the frustration this caused and appreciate your patience while we get your ring back to you.
