ST2 Motor Cycle Turn Signal Cancelling Device
I have found this indicator self cancelling device to be pretty much 100% effective. The only time it fails to cancel a turn signal is when I make a very gradual lane change on a motorway. If I make a more distinct change from one lane to another it works fine but for a gradual lane change where you gradually slip from one lane to another, the device doesn't, unsurprisingly, recognise it as a turn because you're not actually making a turn. I think the ST2 turn signal indicator is an excellent device. It is a bit of a fiddle to mount it and I'm not keen on jamming bits of foam into the indicator switch to, in effect, convert it into a momentary switch. I've mounted the device horizontally and as close to the centre of the bike as I could - I made a little bracket for it which is not recommended but if it is securely bolted to the bikes frame it works perfectly. Because I like to try and improve things, I replaced my indicator switch with a momentary toggle switch but, unless you're really keen, I wouldn't suggest you do this. However this modification works extremely well and is easier to use than the original indicator switch. I've been using this device for well over a year and ridden a lot in city and on the highways and back roads without it faulting.
