Sprout Social's practice around cancelling your subscription for their now way overpriced service is ridiculous. They do not allow you to cancel your subscription within the platform! You must email them and request cancellation, which they then ask for a reason why you are cancelling before taking any action. Whilst it is far they want to try and keep you around, doing so out of the platform is crazy! Why wouldn't you let me cancel on the platform like almost every other service? How is this practice allowed?

The worst online service I've ever encountered. I signed up for the trial period. From the word GO, nothing worked on their site. None of their buttons worked. It didn't matter what I clicked on, nothing ever opened. I then cancelled. They confirmed cancellation, yet two months later, they charge my credit card $156! No service, no product. There were no instructions on how to start the trial, no response from 'Mike' who was the 'go to' for support; sorry, he responded more than a week later to just repeat what I already knew. Lucky my bank has refunded me. Stay right away from this mob. I don't think they're legitimate.

This product was once amazing. Now none of their customer support team knows what they are doing. They've doubled their pricing, reduced software capabilities, and customer support can't even find active accounts or resolve issues for brands who use their software. Avoid it at all costs.

Summary - be very wary of this ripoff company's terms. Tried to cancel my subscription in February on their system. No longer had access to it. Continued to get billed through to April. I complained. They said I couldn't cancel as my subscription rolled through to November even though they were billing me monthly. Have spoken to bank to try to cancel. This is going to cost me £1k.

absolutely horrific company that over-promises and severely underdelivers... this software is a scam out to rob your dollars and provide you with close to nothing in return. the features either glitch or aren't there. I didn't even get to look into any extra features as the most basic features you'd expect literally any social planning company to have are garbage. we're a small business and this is extremely upsetting!

Dishonest company that has sale reps providing inaccurate information about capabilities, especially around Listening tool limitations which is ridiculously expensive. They then say they will resolve the issue before asking for more money for what you should have in the first place.

I had trial for seven days.Before I was following to 586, then Sprout pushed me to follow for around 1100 accounts, in seven days double...I get back 6 followers...1%...I wanted to unfollow, but it wasnt reversable any more, so I did it manualy...I uses another app Combin, at least there I could see straight away who dont follow back, didnt need to check, halfe job done...Sprout said we have 20% come back followers...I have got 1%...I already had my heart said dont try...Just made more unnecessary job

I’ve read through most of the reviews here and I’m sad to say I’ve experienced most of the negative things people are writing about. I am now tackling a third round of them billing me without warning and either refusing to reverse the charge or just being so incompetent they take weeks to figure out how to address my issue. I’ve found out that companies are actually required to warn you before an auto-renewal, and Sprout Social never warns you, just sends you a receipt after they’ve billed you for an entire year upfront. This is a large sum because Sprout Social is not cheap, and their rigidness with their billing practices is very insensitive especially for independent contractors or small business owners. I would actually say that they are unethical with their billing and business practices and it makes me upset I ever supported them by paying for their service, and I even gave them a second chance after my first negative auto-renewal experience. I highly recommend not ever giving this company your money because they will find a way to take as much of it as they can get.
