Hi Bill, Thank you for reaching out to us about this concern. We do not use maltodextrin in any of our products. We use a small amount of Desiccated beef liver, dextrose, microcrystalline cellulose, and stearic acid. The beef liver is there to make the tablets more palatable. The Microcrystalline Cellulose and Dextrose are used in small amounts to help bind the tablet. The Stearic Acid is a fatty acid derived from vegetables and oils used as lubricant in capsule making. Since garlic does not naturally want to stay formed as a solid and smooth tablet, we do have to use some added ingredients to make that work. If you are interested in the Bug Off Garlic Granules, that is pure, granulated garlic with no added ingredients. I hope this clarifies and confusion!

Hi Ken, we have reached out by email, but in case you missed it- We apologize for any concern, but that does happen sometimes. We use a heat seal to adhere the inner seal, no glue is used in case the glue could get into the product. It often happens that the inner seal is lifted when the lid is removed. The seal is there to make sure that the product stays in place in transit, but it is not required for the safety of the product. I have actually seen quite a few times where the entire seal gets stuck in the lid of the container when the lid is removed! If you are uncomfortable using the product, would be more than happy to send you a replacement. Please just let us know the lot # and best-by date on the jar you are concerned about.
