Shady Business
If I could give Spot Insurance zero stars I would. I’ve filed 2 claims for my dog already and they keep denying the claim because they are requesting a note from my veterinarian, however they’re requesting a note from a veterinarian that my dog isn’t even seeing. The receipts I provided clearly show Affordable Animal Hospital as his veterinarian, but they keep requesting it from a different office called Riverdale Animal Hospital. They are a scam and I’m filing a chargeback with my bank tomorrow. Please get pet insurance for your dog elsewhere and save yourself the time and money. Steer clear!

Denies claims
No reimbursement what so ever; very hard to reach. I sent emails that were requested and received no replies. Always denying my claims.

Regret signing up with Spot!
It is ridiculous that I can't upgrade my pet's policy because then she would be considered having a pre existing condition! This is infuriating! This company stinks! I could understand if she was coming in as a new sign up with a pre existing condition, but she isn't. She is literally already insured with you! Now I have to take out a second policy with a different company!

Your coverage does not cover anything for my dog. As you have decided that everything is pre-existing for her You can’t cancel the policy easily

Premiums increase each year and by significant amounts. I will have to move to another company. It takes a long time to get reimbursed. Figo does it within days of submission,

Not good
Takes weeks for each claim review and at the end they pay just a small percentage of the total bill. Spot is a joke. Try another company.
