I have only had this insurance for a short time. I recently submitted my first claim and the process went smoothly. I received reimbursement quickly.

I was initially very annoyed that the only time this company asked for six months of past medical records was when I filed a claim for euthanasia. Moreover, when I called the claims office I was routed offshore where several people were rude, poorly trained and generally unhelpful. I had to ask for a supervisor callback to get any information. However, I have changed my opinion on this company and it is significantly better than before. The claims were processed in a week ( a couple of days after receiving the records from the vet). The reimbursement amount was acceptable. One needs to understand that the reimbursement is between 70-90% of the ALLOWABLE CHARGES based on what is reasonable and customary for your area and that charge. Don’t expect them to pay for prescription dog food. I would appreciate for Spot to respond with their policy and whether they ever pay for it. In general, they responded to the above concerns in a timely and professional manner. You can expect your premiums to increase every year even if you never file a claim. I would most definitely recommend this company. I believe that they want to do the right thing.

Filing a claim was quick and easy,but receiving the reimbursement took longer than I felt it should have.

Seems good. Just received a claim for preventative care. I'm happy about that.

Overall good experience. Communication was a bit of an issue with the agent. It would help greatly if the portal was clearer regarding was is covered. I received information indicating that the full estimate had been approved. At the same time it was showing that a direct deposit of $5,000 had been made. It was not and the $5,000 was the maximum allowed. That was confusing. In the end, the $5K was close to the actual cost but the way it read was very confusing. Overall however it was a good experience and I would recommend SpotPet to my friends.

Despite having to resubmit a claim after it was denied (it was then approved), Spot has been easy to work with. I have a young dog that has already had one surgery and we are looking at a second one. It has cost us a fraction of what it would have. Thanks Spot.
