Worse pet insurance ever ! Always giving excuses to not approve claims. Please don’t buy this insurance it’s a waist of money they will not approve any of your claims even with all the medical records. Additionally when I tied to cancel they were even making excuses to not cancel it by claiming there was no one there to cancel . Ridiculous!

Buyers beware this Pet insurance is a fraud I was enrolled with spot in Jan 22 to Aug22. I filed a number of claims totaling over $1000 and we were reimbursed about $48. Responses to claim problems were delayed, passed back to myself or the Vets office or were delayed due staff shortages. They were difficult to reach unresponsive and demonstrated no regard for my pets health or concern for me as a customer. This was a terrible choice a waste money and time BEWARE.

Coverage offered for price of plans is extremely limited. They have way too many exclusions for claims. I couldn't even get them to cover a diagnosis on my dog (exam & x-ray) because they claimed it was a pre-existing condition. Save your money - I do not recommend purchasing a plan with this comapny and I will be sure to spread the word.

This company is a scam. They reject all claims. I have wasted so much money on this company and they made the cancellation process very difficult. Do not waste your money or time on Spot.

They denied yet another claim. My French Bulldog had a food allergy prior to us having this insurance that we fixed by changing his food. He now seems to having environmental allergy issues due to the try season in Texas (new to us we are from Chicago) and he is licking his paws like crazy. And they are saying that basically anything allergy related will not be covered. So what is the point? This is a NEW condition! He was not licking his paws before a month ago. Very unhappy and feel like I am wasting my money.

If I could give spot a zero, that would make more sense. I have used this company for years and have not had an issue until recently. I am very irritated that I have had to waste my time for 2 months calling, emailing Spot and my vet to sort out a basic annual visit claim, which is still not completed. Everytime I get the same answers and they will look in to it. Shame on them for not going through what is rightly promised and should be paid for in the contract. They have failed. As a consumer who pays a monthly cost of $82 I would expect better. I simply asking for my cats annual visist to be covered. In the contract it states I will recieve reimbursement for these specific items but spot doesn't like how the vet presented the information - a bundled cost, lab results, and exam note from the day which confirms what has been completed. I will be taking my buisness elsewhere and you should too. There is no needed to be treated like this, especially when I annualy pay $984. Is it too much to ask to recieve compensation of $25 for lab tests? Clearly it is with this company. 11/14/24 Spot has since resolved this issue after 2 months of phone and email.

Claims are not reviewed, fake promises , not contacted our Vet for notes. Waisted money! Big SCAM !

Very disappointed with the service. I took pet insurance and platinum care plan for my pet in year 1 and the day of renewal, I cancelled the platinum care and the app let me cancelled effective that day itself and so I called them to check on the prorated refund since it was day1 after renewal and the agent on the call confirmed it. I never received the refund and upon calling multiple times they finally answered saying they are not returning the money back. They kept a full month fees for 1 day of platinum care and they don’t give a damn about service. I am definitely taking my business elsewhere.
