I've been with spot pet insurance for my pet. Yodi for about 2 and a 1/2 years now, I've really had no problems. But the only thing that I am noticing now is the processing of the claims Now I've noticed for the first year they were processing the claims within a week. Now, i've noticed, it's taken about 2 weeks two 3 weeks to process a claim.I would like to have my reimbursement claim money. as soon as possible. Just like you like to have your payment right on time.

So my most recent claim was processed first. Before my first claim. Just wondering why

I submitted a claim and I never heard anything back. Well, I realized that this first claim will probably just go toward my deductible. I was never informed either in writing or by email of its status.

I like generally the coverage but have gone around in circles trying to understand some decisions regarding some very legitimate complaints and coverage. I would select another partner in the future as I have had better overall experiences. BUT now as the dog gets older I’m kind of stuck where I am.

The length of time Spot takes to process a claim, and for the pet owner to be notified of the decision and receive payment is horrible. It takes weeks for them to process. I also noticed they request the complete medical record for the pet, from the same vet with each claim. That’s unnecessary and a waste of time.

They are really quick at getting reimbursements back, however, they do hide things in their policy packets. You have a form that you do not tell people about that is found in a thick packet that most do not read immediately and then you put it on the customer as if you didn't intentionally try to slip it in there. Otherwise, there are no other issues, but that is a big one that affected me and there is no accountability for the lack of disclosing, explanation, direction, and urgency with the form.

I couldn't submit paperwork for my dogs claim through both the app and website. Other then that customer service was decent.

I have mixed feelings. They seemed to have ignored the first claim that well exceeded our deductible. They did make a payment for the second claim. Not sure what to think. The insurance is really expensive, and my mom is a retired handicapped senior.
