Spot is simply the best!! We have had our policy for 3 years since our Luka was a baby and they have been stellar. I hear some terrible stories about Embrace and others and we are so very happy we chose Spot for the lifetime of our Luka!

I've had Spot insurance for my two cats (Reston & Randal) for a few years, but this was the first year I had to submit a number of claims for both cats. For the majority of my claims, I've had no issues submitting them through the online portal. The review process has never taken too long, and I've had no issues receiving reimbursements. The claims I've submitted have been for one cat's GI issues, which resulted in frequent vet visits, tests/procedures, prescription medications, and prescription diets. He has since stabilized and we were able to switch to a non-prescription hypoallergenic diet. My other cat needed to have most of his teeth extracted due to gingivostomatitis. Despite the number and complexity of these claims, I rarely needed to contact customer service since everything was handled through the member portal, and I had no issues with the process. I wanted to write a review now because I did have a slight issue with my latest claim, but Spot helped me resolve it. Only one of my cats (Randal) has the wellness plan add-on because he now needs more regular teeth cleanings. After both cats had their annual wellness visits, I had trouble logging into the member portal and submitted Randal's wellness claim by email. Unfortunately, the claim was incorrectly applied to Reston, who does not have the wellness add-on, and was subsequently denied. I called Spot's customer service, and the representative was very helpful. She said she would reopen the claim and correct the issue. It hasn't even been a week since that call, and I've already received notice that the claim was applied to the correct cat and my reimbursement is on the way. I've compared the costs of Spot with other pet insurance companies, and for me, Spot has been the most affordable. They've also been incredibly helpful in offsetting my vet bills when I've needed to submit claims.

So far, I'm happy with the service. The claims department is quick, and so is the refund process.
