We signed up for this coverage when our puppy was 8 weeks old. Given this, any claim for illness/injury would have happened within his coverage period. He is now 9 months old and we have submitted three claims. Each time, the company asks for records from every vet he’s ever seen to make sure it’s not pre-existing. With the last claim, they requested records from the wrong vet. I responded in their app and by email three times. I finally had to call to get this corrected. That said, the claim submission process is very simple and user friendly. Hence the three stars instead of two.

I filed my first claim and saw that you paid $70 to our direct deposit on 10/16, but as of today 10/21, that deposit has not shown up. I would like to give you a 5 star review, but can't with this gaffe.

I had spot for 2 years and it was great until they decided that my dog, who is perfectly healthy with no medical conditions, was too old. My monthly payment doubled and spot became unaffordable. If you have a young pet with no conditions, you’ll probably get a fair price. If you have an older pet you’ll probably want to look elsewhere for coverage.

Spot insurance is a decent plan for your pets. Problem is after a couple of claims the processing of the claim takes longer and of course the rates go up. Mine went up about $100. They do make it easy to file a claim though. Will be looking at other options

First time I have been unhappy with my insurance policy from Spot. I have 2 pets on Spot and been super happy. This claim not only took 30 days to process, I felt like they were doing everything they could to find a reason not to cover it.

It’s been okay. Multiple times I’ve had to call and get refunded correctly. Spot insurance almost took over $150 if I wouldn’t of been on top of it

I love the idea of pet insurance but I have to say, wagmo has a much better response time. I put 1 dog on that plan and the others on your's. I seem to get more denials then payments. I will need to re evaluate the benefits which are important. It seems it's a new deductible on each claim.
