Had Spot for a year and had zero issues with my cat during that time and they raised my rate by 40% for the second year.

I switched to Spot Pet Insurance from Lemonade due to horrible customer service issues at Lemonade. At least Lemonade actually reimbursed (usually in less than 48hrs) you decently for preventative care. My dog just had a $400 vet visit, including flea/heartworm preventative, bloodwork & a couple updates on her vaccines. I was reimbursed LESS THAN HALF of the bill (& it took nearly a week via direct deposit, WTH?!). This company is as bad as human insurance companies...they don't care that we're trying to keep our pets healthy, they are crisis care if even that much.

They started charging a service charge for auto payment. Every other service company I pay offers a discount for auto pay, not additional charges. There is no discount for paying annually up front. Every other subscription I pay offers a discount for annual renewal, not a to-the-penny monthly X 12 total. Finally, making it difficult to cancel. Can't cancel through app or email, must call customer service, no 24hr representation, so I'm sure I'll have to be transferred to a retention specialist before this is all over.

Preventative care doesn’t offer a lot. $25/ year towards flea and tick is negligible. Costs $35/mo for treatment. Also not willing to cover dog food prescribed by doctor for weight loss. Overall monthly premiums are too high for what they’re willing to cover

Good insurance company customer service is good get to speak to them and everything they do care about their customers and the furry animals but as far as the refund in New York City think twice and make sure whatever you're doing because if you cancel you're only going to get part of your refund back not the full refund because they say in New York City you don't get no full refund you only get part of it and that's it they won't have to worry about me calling him anymore or signing up

Was approved for reimbursement then the second time we had a claim for a follow up for that same illness it was denied
