Sporeworks has been doing this for over 30 years. Now that being said it’s commercialized, most of what you get is diluted cultures. Their customer service is spot on and does refunds for hot mailboxes, saying it’s not viable etc. The reason I stand behind four stars is because sporeworks has strains that are selective or known as first starters (b+, ape, etc) not much mixed varieties like in the Colorado scene but they have exotic and gourmet. But being said all products received from spore works are a diluted mixture to stretch further into more products etc compared to other companies. If you see anything at all after shaking, it’s enough. Their payment options are nice being debit/credit card as well as other transaction methods that are more discreet. PS it is possible getting something not “viable” for a product but more chances heat damage is a factor. Switching to a pickup order near you or rescheduling or being available reduces your chances to none. 100-120 F destroys cultures quite quickly.

Initial 4 syringes were DOA. possibly due to Arizona Heat and them being left in mail box. they send me new ones. those were acceptable.

I have ordered off their website 4 times now. The first time I had issues with the liquid culture and the last time I ordered off their website, I had issues with the shaggy mane culture. All other syringes were good. I highly recommend this company as long as you stay away from cultures.

My original review posted below. Sporeworks Customer Service has since gone above and beyond to rectify the situation. They were understanding of the situation and explained their Guarantee and commitment to a quality product. They are replacing the product in a timely manner. I am well pleased with their customer service department and commitment to supplying a viable product. THUMBS UP! I asked for productive product. I can not study the complete cycle if the product will not spawn. I paid good money for the product and in 20 bags, I had no mycelium. I asked for information and all I got was a BS answer that they did not have to provide product for any thing but the microscope.

Great company for mycology. Spores are alive. Research what you are doing before you blame Sporeworks for your problems. & as far as customer service. Sporeworks are for spore research, not cultivating mushrooms, it's illegal in America. So excuse the operator for having an attitude if you are talking illegal things. All in all a great company.

A bit expensive but the spore count is there. Some are big clumps then others and some are more a Sparse spores in suspension (all the pe I noticed were low) but that also could of been shipping or simply spore size was too small to all clump up. I still had fine results w the PE i got wich was by far the lowest count. Not sure why all the bad reviews ab bad spores. Definitely is cheaper spores but they also are gonna be homogenized not (typically) big clusters or s tint at the minimum

I ordered a 4 pack of b+. When I examined them under the microscope there seemed to be some kind of contamination on every specimen I examined. I informed them and they sent a replacement immediately. Syringes are loaded with tons of spores for your microsposity needs.

I have been buying for 2years and I have had great results especially for my go to genetic which is B+, I got one bad GT from a 4 pack this past winter other than that great genetics and of course with Covid-19 it made longer wait periods since spring from 7-10 days to 30days but what are you gonna do
