I love the health factor and portion size of the meals but I am so frustrated with the prices... that's why I skip so many months. Obviously, there's no meat in there--just a soup with lentils and onions for $12? I could use a different service and get steak for negligibly more than that. When I started years ago it was much much more reasonable. I know I have the choice to NOT order, but the convenience factor and health factor keep me coming back somehow. There has to be a better pricing structure to make it viable for both SS and for us. Also, the meal availability has been questionable, and lately the consistency from container to container of the same meal has been very off. Quality control? For these reasons, I'll still order, but just once every so often.

Horrible customer service. Takes forever to get an email reply. Need to email multiple times. Charges extra for "package protection" but doesn't want to deal with items that arrive thawed out. Total rip-off. To this lousy company: If you want to charge such ridiculous prices for such small portions, you need to have phone support and deal with problems quickly. Listen to your customers. Stop giving us BS answers. There is no way I'm going to continue spending my hard earned money with a company that treats their customers like crap. One extra star for decent flavors on a few products. HOWEVER, IF THEY REFUSE TO PUT ENOUGH DRY ICE IN THE BOX TO KEEP IT FROZEN DURING TRANSIT IN THE HEAT, THERE IS NO HOPE FOR THIS COMPANY.

There are a lot of problems with this place. Firstly there is a weird sign-in whereby you enter your email and they email you a code (it says it sends by email and SMS also but it DOES NOT, which I found out from customer support when I had an issue and he said the SMS was not set up yet - why not remove this mention on your website?? As it wasted my time not knowing if my email or phone number was the issue, but I'm sure it was on their side). At some point I stopped getting this emails, so I HAD NO ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNT. I could not cancel, I could not change selections. I emailed them and on back and forths via email (since there is no phone support), he said my email address doesn't work so I wasn't getting the verification. Which is the SAME ADDRESS we were using to communicate, so obviously it did work. The email response times are slow, it's 1-2 days to get back each response. Because of this delay and my being charged for items I did not want, which I indicated in the email, but they didn't take off in time, he said I would get a credit for 2 items which I have yet to see (more than a month ago) and no response to 2 emails sent over the past month asking about its status. I still continued to use them weekly after the log-in issue was resolved, but my last order I was supposed to get 14 items and I recd only 12! And 4 items I requested were not there but 2 items I did not request are there. I sent an email 2 days ago and no response yet. Not even an acknowledgement that my e-mail was received, isn't this a standard practice everywhere else? I just cancelled my subscription and if I do not get at least a credit for the 4 items I will pursue additional action against this company.

Half of the order was missing and I am waiting to get refunded for it.

Hi, I should be receiving 5 combo of soup, entree, noodle dishes and I only received 1 this time. Also, I am bad at remembering to make specific selections, but I got 4 of the dame smoothy with 1 other kind. Un cool!

The food is horrible. What a waste of money. I changed my rating to 2 stars because Splendid Spoon refunded my money.

In the summer heat, the brown box has been wet and torn. The food packages have been soggy and leaking. There are a few meals I like and order consistently, but they are getting old.

I have been a loyal customer for nearly 6 years. Over the past year more and more deliveries are missing items —no replacement, just missing/refunded. As I order the amount I need for a week of work, this means I have to now try to cook (living in a hotel on travel) or order at the cafeteria with unhealthy options. Now their selection has massively decreased in terms of soup options. The final straw was they changed their packaging (so no longer reusable) and therefore decreased the portions for the same price!
