I love this site because it allows you to connect with people all over the world who you may never have otherwise come across.
I'm giving a three star rating because the site forces a membership to those who want to communicate outside of 'pre-written hellos'
Honestly there is nothing more annoying than getting one of these messages and then needing to pay to avoid having to send one back. If you don't pay, the conversation just looks like two robots going back and forth in a bad early 90s chat room.
Perhaps a paid membership could be required for those who want to send personalized messages to more than 3 users, or something along those lines. (p.s. if you like this idea and want more good ideas, I'm always looking for a new career.)

Yes, we are a pay model site where one member needs to subscribe to send a personally written message. Non-subscribing members can read and reply with a personally written message though, which is something we've always done...so only one person needs to subscribe. We are a business and this is how we continue to provide such a great venue where thousands have met their true loves over the last 21 years (almost 22!). Spiritual Singles Almost Hits The Mark
Spiritual Singles has alot of the mechanics that I appreciate in a dating site. However, my issue is that it does not attract a diverse clientele to the site.

You don't need to pay for anything to see members. All you need to do it login and click "Search" in the upper menu bar...or look at who is online (the page that loads when you login), or go to your Matches... there are many ways to view members. A good start, but could be much better
The biggest problem is that you can't refine your search with key words, like "bicycle", "meditation", etc. This feature would be very helpful to narrow down a search.
Like most dating sites, you are asked to wade through a lot of questions, many of which seem irrelevant, in a most cumbersome way that makes me want to just avoid the questions altogether. Would much better, and simpler, to have a list of questions, that we could all see, and then you could check the questions the deal with issues you find important. Then, you could answer only those questions.
Lastly, there are few people on the site and a lot of profiles for people that evidently haven't signed in for over a year. A cut off-time to log in would be great Let's say, for example, that if you haven't logged in for 3 months, your profile becomes inactive, but saved, until you log in again. Just like classified ads for objects, people don't take down their ad after they've sold it. I did a search for straight women in Mexico, between 30 and 60 and only got three results!
Fixing the first two issues would go a long way to developing interest in the site, which would help with the third issue.
This just in! There is a KEYWORD SEARCH function. Don't know if they just added it or I missed it before. Unfortunately, when I try to use it, the wheel just spins endlessly and it never delivers any results. So, don't know when I'll be able to use the search feature. I tried the site using Chrome and Firefox and encountered the same problem.
One last thing. When you go to message a member, much of their profile become unreadable, hence, you have limited ability to respond to points in that member's profile. Would be much better to allow FULL viewing of the profile as you are writing them.

Good news, we do have a keyword search. Just go to the Search page and click the tab in the upper left column (on top) that says "Keyword". We have had it since inception, 21 years ago. We just tested it and it's working. Please contact our tech support team for assistance: [email protected].
The multiple choice questions on top of the profiles are mandatory, and they are basic questions most members find extremely helpful. The "Match Questions" are very detailed and are designed to help you really get to know someone and know if you are compatible before even meeting. You can answer as many or as few as you like.
When you search, you can sort by "Latest Activity" to see the active members first. We don't hide those who have not been on for a while, as they oftentimes will login when someone sends them a message. And, we periodically delete inactive profiles.
In regard to women in Mexico, I just did that same search and got 7 pages of results. You must have some limiting search filters selected. Try clearing all of your filters, all and then slowing adding them back in.

Yes, our members are amazing, glad you are appreciating them. We are a smaller niche dating site, so we don't have the millions of members that the large mainstream sites have, but our members are very targeted, so they are "spiritual", and spiritual people tend to be more liberal, but not always.
We give members a lot of screening and matching tools, so by all means, make the most of those, and be open-minded about meeting someone outside if your area (which is a very liberal location). Your soulmate may not live in your city. Let us know when you meet your special someone. Much love.
