I've made a few tweaks to your search preferences which gave you more results. You can also search within a 300 mile radius which will give you many more results, and is within driving distance for most. Most people are open to starting out as long distance, and we have thousands of success stories, of which many started out that way. We are actually quite a large site for being a niche site, for "Spiritual, not religious" singles. I see that you had over 5000 men in your search results. I've made a slight tweak to your search preferences to so you will now see men within a 300 mile radius of your zip code. Feel free to change it back. We allow free members to search the database as much as they like with their free membership, so the numbers of members should not be a surprise. We are a niche dating site, so we will never be as large as the huge, mainstream ones, however, our members are highly targeted and amazing! We hope you'll give it a chance and meet your someone special. We receive success stories almost daily, so we know it works!

HI there, I see that you live in California, which is one of our most populated areas, so not sure why you are saying that most of the active women live abroad. You may need to tweak your search and/or match settings to yield more specific, local matches. We do purge old profiles periodically, however, when you contact someone who hasn't been online for a bit, oftentimes they will log on to respond, so don't let that stop you! Hi Eric, I can see that you have no distance parameters set in your Matchmaker Preferences. All you need to do is add your zip code and select a radius (50, 100 or 300 miles) and you will receive matches that are within that range, and it will show you how far away they are). The same goes for your search results on the SEARCH page. We are less automated than most sites, as we like to leave the control in our members' hands. HI Ginny, I just checked your Matchmaker preferences and you had a couple of things that really narrowed your Matches. You had selected "In the same state or province"-- I changed that to "In the same country" so you will now see matches from all over England, and you had "Yes" and "Maybe" for "Willing to relocate". I added "No" since you are actually looking for people near you, it would be ok if they were not willing to move. Hope this helps and we hope you'll update your review.
