I emailed immediately to get a refund since there were so few candidates available on the site for my location. I registered Nov 3, cancelled the same day. It’s Nov 29, I have not received $48 refund, nor a response.

Thanks for the review. We don't do that because usually when these members receive a personally written email they log back on and oftentimes become active again. We recommend contacting anyone with whom you feel a connection! Magic happens all the time on Spiritual Singles!

Completely pointless website. You can’t communicate with anyone unless you pay for a subscription, so there are just people on there “liking” each other without being able to communicate. Profile takes literally hours to complete. Not many LGBT people in there either. Don’t waste your time. There are many other sites that don’t force you to pay before being able to communicate with other users.

Hi there. Free members can read and reply to messages sent from subscribers, so only one person needs to upgrade. We are a pay-model site, which is different than the free sites out there, however, we have always been extra generous by allowing free members to read and reply. We are a niche site with amazing members. Don't give up too quickly! Sometimes finding spiritual singles on mainstream sites is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I would like to consider this site but right away I notice you have weight criteria on your site and I find this very objectionable. One can easily choose a potential partner from a photo depending on your preference. This idea of naming your weight preference when joining is discriminatory, has a very negative weight shaming result if not the intention (that is the result) and in terms of potentially hurting another person who may be struggling with their weight, this ‘highlighting’ is anything but loving and spiritual, if you think of yourselves as loving. Discrimination on any grounds, or supporting discrimination, goes against every manifestation of what Love (Spirit) stands for. This is very different from discernment by an individual who may be attracted to a certain body shape, like certain hair colour. Please don’t pander even more to people’s fears around weight and size. It is so yesterday and shows a lack of mindfulness. Depending on your response, I will consider and I urge all others either on this site or considering this site to look in their hearts and see if they want to support this sort of ‘weeding out’ that has the potential to cause a lot of fear and pain in vulnerable people - which of course we all are. You will remember this the next time someone judges or hurts you. From Ireland I have just read your response from your colleague at Spiritual Singles below. I’m afraid you have not convinced me on your stance in this matter. But good to see you are responding to everything. Will leave it at that. I will take another look at your site.

Hi Susan, Thanks for your review and sharing your concerns. We do use a weight range, as opposed to a specific weight to keep the focus softer on that aspect because we have always encouraged our members to look at the person (their soul, their heart), not the physical aspects as much. We have always offered "Prefer not to say" as an option for those who do not wish to share their weight range. And, yes, some people do have preferences... for example someone very athletic usually wants their partner to be the same. We ask many personal questions like race, height (range), weight (range), hair color, eye color, astrological into...etc.. All could be considered discriminatory, if you look at weight as discriminatory. We encourage everyone to love and accept their bodies, no matter what size. We don't see being overweight as a bad thing, or something to be ashamed of and we don't feel that the weight is highlighted at all. For example, we don't show weight on the initial "card" that people see when viewing who is online, or the matches or the search results. If it were "highlighted" it would be on that initial card everyone sees. It is certainly not there to facilitate any hurt feelings. It's better someone know up front and not initiate contact if it is an issue or preference for them. We think that would lead to more hurt feelings that not displaying it. We hope this helps you innerstand why we show the weight range on a profile. We wish you success on the site!
