Better than sitting in a room with 500 people
Speechpathology.com makes it super easy to get very high-quality training in a virtual format, including fantastic offerings for supervision, diversity, and ethics, which are sometimes hard to find when I need them, which is usually three days before my license is set to expire. I used to always get my CE in person, but it’s often very expensive, I had to travel and/or take time off work, and I was limited to whatever topics were scheduled near me. Speechpathology.com is far more economical, the range of topics is wide-reaching, and the quality is always top-notch. I’ve learned a ton! In fact, I think I learn better when I’m allowed to learn on my own schedule and in my own space rather than sitting in a big hotel conference room listening to a speaker for six hours, in business clothes, an uncomfortable chair, and a room that is often too cold. I’d rather get comfy on my couch with my dog on my lap, a sleeve of Thin Mints, and a pause button I can tap in discriminately, thank you very much.
