If only I could rate it zero. The only thing good about this is that I read one of my favourite books on here. That’s it. To put it simply, it’s tedious. The questions are on random metaphors that have no plot relevance and there’s always something that wasn’t in the actual book. It’s slow and punishes you for ‘reading too fast’. Once, I came across an error on a question. Character A said something to Character B in the book, a question I got asked was ‘What did Character C say to Character B?’ Upon putting what Character A said, I was told I was correct. However, Character C saying said thing was not in the story, so it shouldn’t have been right. Sloppy.

the website is so bad that i would rather eat my own stomach, the point system is horrid, some times i read a whole 5-7 paragraphs and i only get 20 srp, and some people in my class read the same amount and get 1 srp AND you don't get to pick your own book unless you get gold reader which requires you to sacrafice your sleep to grind for it or sell your soul to the devil, and when you do get gold reader you have to own the book to select it or you have to go find a libreary, so if there isn't a local library you have to read books you've already read, so to summarize this website is the biggest piece of dogshit

I'm always getting alerts to say "homework not started" when in fact my son has already done it 3 days ago. It also says he is reading Pokemon books, or joke books, when this is not the case. It is a truly awful idea to force kids to do this. The questions are far too hard (I've often got them wrong and I got As at GCSE English), and some questions just try to trick them into answering incorrectly

I got teleported into a digital escape room of suffering, where the only escape is giving up on literacy itself. I opened a book called The Mysterious Door and ended up in a mysterious existential crisis. The font looked like it was legally not allowed to exist. Paragraphs? Who needs them? Let’s just SLAP text on the screen like it's a ransom note from someone who failed English in 3rd grade. Then the questions hit. Oh the QUESTIONS. "Why did the character feel sad when the bird flew away?" IDK MAYBE BECAUSE IT’S A BIRD AND IT LEFT??? ARE YOU OK SPARXREADER? DO YOU NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE??? And the point system. What is happening. I reread a chapter 5 times, picked the most galaxy-brain answers known to man, and it said: "You need more practice 😐". MORE PRACTICE IN WHAT. MIND READING??? INTERPRETING A CRYPTIC PROPHECY?? Understanding SparxReader logic requires a PhD in Pain. Also, the avatars? Customizable but in the way where every option looks like an NPC from a 2002 educational CD-ROM. I tried to make myself and ended up looking like a sad tax accountant from space. Final thoughts: If Dante wrote Inferno today, Level 7 of Hell would be SparxReader’s login screen. I’m done. I’m going to go reread the back of a shampoo bottle. At least that has consistent themes.

Just creates arguments within families, Made my resent my parents for forcing me to do it when school doesn't actually enforce any rules on it. they dont let you chose your own book and the interface is confusing to use and expectations for the children are far to high especially since you cant choose your own book untill you get 1500 EXTRA srp off of your homework and untill then gives you books you dont want to read
