Our experience with SouthAmerica.travel and our travel agent, Annica Gaither, was excellent. Overall, she was very quick to respond to our emails, she quickly took care of some airline issues that arose just before we left and could have been problematic for us during our trip, she worked very thoughtfully with us to plan a personal itinerary to meet all of our interests which wasn't the easiest due to this being a family trip and at times she had to work with twelve different people and at times she had to work with just two people as our group had different timelines and agendas while we were in Peru. I would certainly request being able to use Annica's services again when planning another trip to South America.

Very helpful
Marty and his team at SouthAmerica.travel made our trip to South America extremely smooth and hassle-free, especially since we do not speak Spanish or Portuguese. They provided helpful advice during the decision-making process with no hard-selling, were patient with us throughout the many changes we made to the itinerary and gave us great tips on restaurants in each place we visited. They have a wide range of hotel options, and all the ones we stayed at were great. The team’s help was also invaluable when one of our internal flights was altered last minute, and helped us switch to an earlier flight with zero stress on our part.
I would highly recommend them if you are planning a trip around South America.

Our experience with SATravel was…one of the most enjoyable, engaging, and memorable tours ever.
Our experience with SATravel was stellar. Everything we wanted to do they (Conrad) arranged after getting as much information from us as he could to make the best arrangements. Every place we went we were picked up at the airport, delivered and reminded of the next days activities. The guides engaged were excellent - knew the area, knew the history, the culture, and could add to our interests of the area. The hotels were all comfortable and in the middle of what was to be done and seen in the city and towns. The glaciers, the mountains, the hikes, the views - each day was a spectacular adventure. Thank you for one of the most, enjoyable, and informative tours we will remember.

We traveled around the horn from Lima…
We traveled around the horn from Lima Peru to Rio. We combined land tours with a cruise. Because of the many things we wanted to see we reached our for Claudia for assistance. We had multiple stops in Peru, Chili and Argentina with multiple flights.
All of the arrangements were flawless. All Airport pickups were on time. The Hotels Claudia selected were beautiful. All the tours were first class and the local cafe's were wonderful.
Although it was not planned even the tour guide in Rio was from South American Travel.
We are going to Ecuador next March and will definitely use Claudia and South American travel for that vacation.

Conrad is the most responsive agent of…
Conrad is the most responsive agent of any kind that I have ever worked with. He answered promptly my many detailed questions. He was committed to preparing an itinerary that would include all of our preferences. He made recommendations for how to make the best use of our time and resources. He never hesitated or seemed to tire of revising our itinerary and flights. We are excited to be taking our SouthAmerica.travel trip to southern Patagonia later in the year. Conrad represents the epitome of outstanding customer service.

Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Easter Island Holiday
We would just like to Sinan for an amazing feat of organisation in putting our trip together. Every day we were either on a tour or travelling, but far from being rushed and stressed, this was all very smooth and relaxed. The tours were all fantastic, we have never had private tour guides before and the difference they made was outstanding. Tours were tailored to our needs and there were none of the rigidity and delays associated with group outings.
We started in Rio, our guide was the excellent Pedro. Christ the Redeemer is a breath taking spectacle; but we also thoroughly enjoyed the city tours, sugarloaf, the amazing coffee shops, the Brazilian cuisine, the street stalls etc etc. Staying right on the beach in the wonderful Windsor Leme was a treat.
On to Iguazu - the falls were simply spectacular; it was a shame our flight was delayed and we missed the first tour completely but the hotel (Loi Suites) was absolutely brilliant and our guide, Nani, did a fantastic job of squeezing everything into the next day.
Buenos Aires was a completely different vibe - lovely city. We enjoyed staying in the heart of Recoletta, we were right next to St Lucia and the view from the top was incredible.
Mendoza was all about the wine - I must admit, I lost count of how many vineyards we visited; but the meal at our last port of call (La Cayatana) was unbelievably good, many thanks to our host Eduardo - brilliant. All the wineries were so different from each other that we were never bored. All the wines were magnificent and I am sure the fantastic settings, helped.
We did enjoy the horse ride and barbecue but it was so hot, I am not sure we did the great food and entertainment justice.
The coach trip through the Andes to Santiago was very comfortable, and the rest did us good.
Santiago, of all the cities we visited, had the greatest atmosphere. Unbelievable views nestled at the base of the Andes, great food if quite dear. We loved the trip up to the dam, spectacular setting. Looked after by Reuben and Ambro. Excellent day trip with lunch in Valparaiso and we all watched carpool karaoke with Paul McCartney on the way back which was a bit surreal.
Easter Island was the pinnacle of the trip. Diane head over heels with the business class seats there and back. Very different, Moai incredible, very expensive but worth the effort. Gino was a excellent, warm hearted, effusive guide - much appreciated.
Left Saturday, got back Monday night - long trip home but brilliant holiday and some great memories.
Thanks once again
We shall return as there is so much more to see in South America, and we will definitely be using your services once again
