SoundstripeReviews of soundstripe.com

The price is right but the music is low grade. A LOT of electronic music for some reason (probably because any kid can make it on their computer), wish they could filter out genres in search like EDM - also lacks in new music.... "new releases" are far and few between. Been using it for 2 years now, you can find a gem every once in a while but might have to move on since the music is subpar and it doesn't look like its getting better anytime soon.

The pricing is good, and the audio quality is very consistently high. The music is all very similar, using the same instrumentation and recording/production style, software instruments etc. A lot of the composition is very generic, although at least it's modern and usable professionally. The interface is nice, but the search options don't feel like they're turning up the best results. It tends to feel like it finds whatever is newest and most generic rather what is most appropriate to what I need. It takes a long time to sort through oodles of similar sounding tracks. I would prefer a search algorithm that prioritizes variety.

Sometimes I need to spend a long time searching suitable music for my video. Should learn to use filters to reduce my time.

Constantly removing songs means that Soundstripe is incredibly tricky when finding a great song for a future client.

I've had Sound strip for almost a month now. 3.5 stars So far I've had to use Soundstripe quite a bit for a gig that required multiple videos. I like the music so far and they have a decent library of music with quality music and vocals. The service, however, seems to be lacking. i signed up for the affiliate program and within days got an invite and emailed my contact and so far it's been nearly 3 weeks with no response. So if you're self sufficient and can navigate a good user interface like Soundstripe, nor do you care for service, this site is a gem, however, if you do require great service, this might not be the top of your list.

Not enough variety in terms of music and artists.

I love the selection of music. I think this company is great but sound effects should be included and not an as an extra membership option. other than that I would give them 4 stars.

I shoot/edit wedding films and look for cinematic music to license in my films. I also have a membership to Musicbed. Between the two, I use Musicbed tracks 95% of the time. The available music options are so much better on Musicbed. I would compare Musicbed to a high end wedding client and Soundstripe to a low end wedding client. The Soundstripe subscription is just cheap enough to keep in my back pocket for other miscellaneous projects.
