Issues working with Sondermind I live on the border of NH and VT. The border runs the entire length of the state. People who live on the border of these states receive health care, have jobs, enjoy extracurricular activities, shop and so on in both states without issue. Sondermind this was not possible. I had a counselor I really liked that I couldn't see unless I was sitting at my job or on the side of the road in VT. I am not going to have an online counseling session at my job. People at my job don't need to know my personal business. Sondermind Counselors in NH are not covered by my VT insurance. Trying to find a counselor that I liked and would be covered on my insurance became so frustrating, I became more depressed. I was already dealing with a lot. So no, I did not have a good experience with Sondermind due to their lack of ability to support people living on state borders.

Sondermind is basically an algorithm with no there there except the therapist you may or may not find in their stable. I had multiple issues with a therapist distracted by personal issues and basically checked out with no to little communication. Reaching to Sondermind, whoever and whatever that is, resulted in no response. This is a joke, find a real therapist.

I have been unable to contact a human to correct my billing. Medicare is my primary health insurance and they didn’t bill them They billed my secondary insurance which is Carefirst. I even spoke to my therapist stating the same before I was billed as she stated to me that Carefirst hadn’t got back to her. Carefirst didn’t pay and I was charged the full amount for sessions. I still haven’t been able to speak with anyone.

The interface is great but the customer support is not great, I am just trying to update my insurance information and I can't get through to anyone because it says mine needs to be reviewed but when I call and leave a message I don't get a call back. I also sent a "Contact" in and received nothing. Matt

It was only one session and she didn’t know me and didn’t know her. But I thought talking to a therapist I would have gotten some more insight into what I was talking about, maybe she didn’t have enough to go on. The reason I gave a lower score is I was sending her emails to ask her about our meeting and if maybe I said something wrong or that offended her. She never answered my email. I didn’t say anything offensive but everyone takes things differently that is why I asked. I sent another email asking some simple questions she didn’t reply I figured she didn’t want to talk to me, so canceled my session and now looking for another therapist but not with this company. I did let Kaiser know my experience with this company when they asked.

Would you think it would be dumb if you got a prescription at a pharmacy for X amount of dollars and then 2 months later got billed for quadruple the amount because they lied about the insurance covering the costs. Also you've been getting prescription for the last two months. That's what this company will do. They do this so they can soak as much money from people who wouldn't have signed up for sessions as their insurance wouldn't cover the costs so they lie about it. Disgusting business tactic from a company that is suppose to be helping people. I got lucky that a few sessions got cancelled because of the holidays. Also, it mainly has online sessions and their video player would crash all of the time. Even the therapist, who was the only good thing about my experience with the company, said that this has been an issue for awhile and the company has done nothing to solve it. I wish I had read the reviews here and had gone somewhere more trusted.

My therapist was great, love her down and she helped me a lot...but the billing practices is straight trash. Got billed for 2 sessions at once and sent me into a finacial rut! I was under the impression that is wasn't setup to automatically take it out of my account when it was the due date, and I did not authorize it. Definitely choose somewhere thats like pay as you go or something, because this ain't it.

I'm giving 2 stars because my son likes his therapist. But, their billing dept is terrible! They billed 8 visits in one day at $25/day (our co-pay) instead of during each visit. This unexpected excess coming out of our bank account weeks after the visits is ridiculous. They've done this twice now. Come up with a better system. How about charging the co-pay at the time of the visit instead of everything at once?! AWFUL!
