Like many on this site, this is a very dishonest organization. We scheduled a session and canceled 2 days prior to the session. Our therapist stated she would take care of removing this charge. After contacting soudermind about our received bill they refused to refund our funds of the cancellation. The system seems to be a homemade system or a very unprofessional one! Please understand the 2.9 rating is probably because of the method use to take advantage of customers. Disappointed in our experience.

I am just trying to sign up for a therapist and am already frustrated with the application. I get to the point where it ask for a copy of my insurance card. I am 70 yrs old and I don't know what to do. I'm not tech savvy. Can another way be found to get my insurance info to you.

Made a telephone appointment but when I got in could only see and hear Stephanie and she couldn't see or hear me. They said they would send instructions but never did. Stephanie got frustrated with me as I didn't know what to do. She kept telling me I should have already had it all set up and indicated I was wasting her time. This telehealth stuff SUCKS and I don't need to be reprimanded by a therapist! NEVER AGAIN

I only had 1 session, 1st time she had to take a call, her dad health issues. Then mostly I talked. I scheduled another, same person I had a terrible anxiety attack and lost it at work I looked at my emails and she had canceled same day. That was a bad deal. Today I get a bill 250.00 because she's out of network. I gave my insurance info.and it said she was.I need therapy so bad and I was disappointed.

Was charged a no-show fee when patient indeed logged in and waited for therapist who never showed up. Therapist was Hailee Bradshaw. Would 100% NOT recommend these therapists!

I am a therapist with Sondermind. I think it’s important to know that Sondermind,as of 3-13-24, completely eliminated the community forum for therapists to support each other, communicate through DM, and refer clients for help from other therapists directly. This is a horrible reaction from Sondermind and seems to be result of so many of the professionals citing concerns with this company. My recommendation would be to seek out therapists through psychology today, and I apologize on behalf of this company’s choice to protect itself rather than serve its clients and employees.

Just submitted an official complaint to Sondermind but sharing it here as well so other people know to avoid them! I switched therapists this year because I wanted a queer therapist. I was charged $133 for the first session with the new therapist (should only be a $15 copay) just for her to tell me 3 sessions later that she didnt want to be my therapist anymore because I travel out of state. Then, Sondermind said I will need to get a new therapist any time I'm in a different state (and pay $133 again). I find this weird because I saw my previous therapist through Sondermind for months while she knew I was traveling out of state and there were no issues. Sondermind needs to decide what their rules are and make sure they are enforced consistently. Also, you cannot delete a credit card from your account. I even emailed them and asked them to remove it and they wouldn't, so I had to cancel it through the credit card company. Sondermind's behavior is so sketchy, and I recommend staying far away from them. They will only make your mental health worse!

The therapist who they connected me to was great, but everything else about this company is awful. Please save yourself the hassle of wasting time with their customer support and billing system. You will not be billed on time and will receive them all in one lump sum months after your actual session. God help you if you want to actually talk with a representative because the wait times are egregious. Avoid if at all possible.
