The therapist I requested showed availability online. After requesting a female therapist, I was paired with a male. The male therapist didn’t seem to care about my schedule and wanted me to meet during times I am never available. He picked odd times that wouldn’t mesh well with anyone’s schedule leaving me wondering if he really wanted to meet with me at all.

My therapist was fine. However, I didn’t want to schedule more sessions until I verified how well insurance was going to pay. After 2 to 3 months, I still heard nothing about the billing so I emailed them, explaining the situation. Even though I clearly stated that it had been 2 to 3 months I received a basic form letter saying it takes them a few weeks for the billing process. They obviously didn’t even read what I wrote. When someone needs help, they can’t wait 2 to 3 months to see if insurance covers the cost, and most people are probably like me and can’t afford to pay for multiple sessions at full cost. I don’t recommend them.

Calling the State AG's Office I got an email just now saying that they deleted my BCBS card and told me my insurance wasn't covering. I am a government employee and out on FMLA for PTSD. I checked and double checked BEFORE I signed up. I have read the other reviews and now I feel sick because I am waiting for my therapist to send paperwork back to my job so I can continue working. I'm not going to screw around with this, so starting with AG's office first and then calling my insurance company. Due a nationwide outage with Change Healthcare earlier this year a lot of companies and people were effected and I understand that can have a lot, if not everything to do with this, but WHO THE AF emails a person with mental illness at almost 9pm at night and hold's their credit card or possible mental health care services Ransome via their billing department. Absolutely no customer service whatsoever. They incorrectly charged me using my HSA card which is against the law because they were charging me for a no-show and now I can't get them to reverse it. There is never any way to reach them via email or phone unless you're planning on becoming a new customer. They pick the phone right up if you indicate you're a new customer. If you write them an email or indicate you have any other business with them, you will never hear back from them as long as you live. One time I spent three months trying to get somebody to get back to me so that I could give them my HSA card to charge. I kept getting bills with no way to pay them. Literally three months just to get a card added to my account. They are absolutely the worst service in the world and it's too bad because I had a great therapist working with them but their network is not "them." The network consists of small-time therapists who are not in the position to be charging credit cards and using insurance on their own. That is supposed to be Sondermind's job, but Sondermind sucks at doing their job. They deserve nothing but one star reviews unless you're evaluating their therapists -- but they're not responsible for the quality of the therapy. They are responsible for the quality of the customer service and the quality of the customer service is minus 10 billion. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I have been going through nothing but hell for years with these people and I finally gave up. I told my wonderful therapist I'm sorry but I can't see you anymore because you are working with such a bunch of bums. He agrees because he can never get them to respond either. They are the most unresponsive company in the universe -- do not work with them no matter how good the therapists are.

If I have a therapist and act inappropriately and I'm released from treatment that's understandable. But to not discuss the problem with the client and simply cancel the session with no way to know how to get another therapist is not therapy. That's someone else walking away and leaving someone with no help. And to me that's not therapy that's just the opposite you're ruining someone without at least saying here let me recommend somebody or discussing the problem with them and as far as I'm concerned I don't feel like I got anything good out of my experience with sonderMind. Furthermore, why am I being charged $100 for a session that was not even held I did not have a session with Kim yazel nor anyone else on the 7th of November so why am I being charged $100 I tell you what there are imperfections in systems and that's a fact and I accept that but this is something you need to rectify because not only was I dropped from my therapy with no one else to go to which is ridiculous now I'm being charged $100 when I didn't even have a session that's ridiculous and unacceptable and quite frankly worthy of being reported.

I wish I could say they care about their patients well-being, but in my experience they do not. I feel as though they care about the all-mighty dollar and that is all, sadly. Ive been asked to add more detail. An example of poor support and lack of caring includes: I was very ill and fell asleep before my appointment. When i reached out to explain and see if i could have a courtesy waive of the ~$100 late fee I was denied. Sondermind would not waive it nor fight on my behalf. So, if you have an emergency, are very ill, someone is dying, etc., please dont expect any sympathy or help from them (as a mental health and wellness support group).

I am a grandma of a 19 y/o trying to use Sondermind. Her first appointment was cancelled so she made an appointment with a new therapist. The appointment time came and went. My grand daughter tried reaching out to the therapist and still has not heard back. I told her to try better help. She really needs the therapy.

I had an initial meeting with a therapist that lasted less than 30mins and I was still charged the full $108.00, I asked if this would be prorated since I didn’t get my full time and I was told no by both the therapist and customer service. This is not how any of my other therapy platforms or therapist charge and i think people should know that. Therapy is not cheap, and they cheated me out of my time and money.
