So I started therapy with SonderMind and developed a GREAT rapport with my therapist. Started having therapy sessions every Thursday evening at 7pm. My first payment of $40 after insurance was due March 3rd, on March 4th because of nonpayment they cancelled ALL of my upcoming appointments. CLEARLY, the focus is NOT patient care, it’s the ability or inability to pay. I could see if maybe the payment was 2 weeks late or even a month BUT ONE day!!!!!!! I’ve NEVER seen or heard ANYTHING like this and will NEVER have therapy with them again! The actual therapist, Jennifer Serene was the best though!

Charged my card 3 months after an appointment and its way more than it ever has been before. Absolutely will not be scheduling any more appointments with them. No phone number to contact billing is ridiculous. Require you to have a card on file to charge but no one available to speak to you about those charges.

I have been using Sondermind for about 4 months now and love my therapist, however I have had billing issues almost every week. At one point I over-paid then needed to extend my payment dates out, and every time I requested a call-back to discuss all the details. My over-payment took 3 months to resolve and no one would get in touch with me about it. Every time I request a call-back, no one calls me back. My claims have been escalated and escalated over and over again, even the care team was surprised to know that no one called me back after looking at my messages. The BILLING DEPARTMENT is not responsive and effects the ability to see my therapist. This is exactly the consequences of PRIVITIZATION of mental health services. It is clear that your main goal is MONEY and NOT the interest of vulnerable people. I will be stopping my services with Sondermind as I am deeply dissatisfied with this company.

If you have any type of EAP(Employer Assistance Program) benefit, pray that it works because mine didn’t even though my employer confirmed that the authorization codes are correct. I have a balance of almost 400 dollars & it’s been 34 days since a ticket was made for me to resolve this. LEGIT NO RESPONSE! NO COMMUNICATION! ALSO NOT TO MENTION THEY HAVE NO DIRECT PHONE NUMBER! It is legit getting to a point where I probably won’t be able to go to my next appointment because of the significant outstanding balance. I am legit irritated with this whole process and also not to mention how the customer service people literally DO NOT CARE about your situation. They just go silent until you’re done speaking about your situation no matter how frustrated you are. *EDIT* SINCD I CANNOT DIRECTLY REPLY TO THE COMMENT! I HAVE BEEN WAITING! THIS IS DAY 36 NOW! THIS IS ABSOLUTE BS! YOU KEEP TRYING TO CHARGE MY CARD FOR SOMETHING THAT I SHOULD NOT EVEN HAVE TO PAY FOR RIGHT NOW!

Charged my cc after they said they wouldn't. Social worker was no benefit to me at all! No billing number! Has not resolved charging my cc!!!

We were over billed and still have not been refunded. It should not take a month to figure this out. How much were we charged - how much should we have been charged = refund. At this point, I feel like we were scammed.

My therapist was great but my experience with Sondermind as a company was horrible. They charged my insurance and then later charged me. The charges didn't come until months after my sessions so I didn't know that my insurance didn't end up covering all of it until I had had several sessions. The cost for one session through Sondermind is about $400 total. The cost to just go to the therapist directly is $80. I ended up paying quite a bit more. They are also almost impossible to get ahold of. I would not recommend Sondermind.

Should not be dealing with mental health Check to make sure they take your insurance and I don't just mean look at their website. That's inaccurate. Their website states that they accept my insurance but they don't. They also told my therapist that my insurance is medicaid, which it's not. So they're dishonest. I filed a complaint with them and several days later they replied "truly sorry" and I could use them via self pay. But their video platform is also buggy. My therapist had to use a different video platform and my wife has had multiple problems. It's just a dishonest, unreliable company that should not be dealing with mental health patients.
