Do not use this company for any reason. Their company is a scam, they charge you full price for all your appointments before insurance. Afterwards they will bill your insurance as out-of-network even though their website says in-network for their therapist. Leading you to fight insurance for 5+ months. Also don't even think about calling them, they have no customer service. If you do get someone to answer the girl just tells you to send an email and hangs up on you stating she cannot help with any issues. If you proceed to send an email they don't respond to you. It's a straight up scam.

Working with the patients is fantastic. However, their platform often glitches, and the patients cannot sign in, claims are messed up weekly, and they push new features without ensuring the previous ones work. The customer service is horrible. There is no phone support, and it can take months before they get back to you. When they do get back to you, it is with an email with basic things you can try to fix (clear cookies, restarting the computer, etc.), then when you tell them that did not help, it can take months before you hear back from them.

My deductible was met with my insurance and they billed me over $400 for sessions that should have been covered 100%. Took them over 3 weeks to reply to my email, NEVER answer the phone, and no way to leave a message. Plus every session they charged me for was a different price each time, even though I met with the same provider. This company is a JOKE. Stay away if you don’t want to add any unnecessary anxiety and aggravation to your current situation.

My daughter had a scheduled appt with a therapist she was using on Sondermind. (Susan C.) She has abandonment and rejection issues, which she told her therapist up front. So what happens? She gets ghosted for her weekly appt (she entered the chat but therapist never did). Did not get response to a message she sent to Susan. Instead, the next week before her appt, she gets messages that all future appt have been canceled and my daughter was dropped apparently from her therapist. Why would any therapist do this to a patient, let alone one with these issues to begin with? I contacted the therapist, who did reply to my emails and said my daughter was a no show online, which is false. She has two witnesses that she entered the chat and waited and waited. This treatment has set my daughter back quite a bit, and now she is hesitant to try a new therapist for fear of being abandoned again due to no fault of her own. Also, she was current in payments, I know this because I was paying for the sessions along with my insurance. Excuses don't right the wrong!

The provider never showed for my appointment. I waited for several minutes past the start time and took screenshots of my presence. The provider message me this morning and said he was there but I wasn’t. I am not sure what happened but I will be asking the VA for another provider.

Love the therapists we use however the billing/administrative is TERRIBLE. You cannot reach them via phone. They take DAYS to respond to any billing questions or help resulting in providers cancelling appointments. They are rude and unhelpful and don't fully read messages and then when you respond again they just never get back to you. STAY AWAY!

Our therapist was incompetent. Did not listen. He made false assumptions. Acted like he was an experienced therapist, didn’t use even basic skills, attempted to bait us into an argument over something that was not an issue. Contacted sondermind, no call back. Even sent us a survey about a nonexistent call to me. Stay away. This company is dangerous.

I sense that therapists on SonderMind are eager to acquire clients. Maybe they receive incentives for this. I don't know. Once I receive matches, they promptly flood my inbox. They automatically schedule sessions without consulting me, which was a significant turn-off. I did find one woman, and we discussed the session before agreeing to meet. Our session was productive, but there was an honest misunderstanding afterward. She claimed that I had given her two star ratings and asked why. Subsequently, she immediately messaged me, assuring me that I was not a good fit and canceling our session, which was less than 24 hours. She did not provide me with an opportunity to clarify or explain myself. I genuinely felt positive about her, but perhaps she was correct. We were not a suitable match for each other. At this juncture, I have decided to cease seeking therapy. SonderMind, you should tell your therapists to stop the current practice of being overly pushy. It's unacceptable. Allow clients to review potential matches instead of having multiple individuals schedule sessions without mutual agreement. I was also billed a few months later. I noticed people on here had similar experiences as well.
