There was a lot of errors with their website. Also after 6 or so sessions they told me they won't take my insurance. I got billed for one, then cancelled my debit card so they can pound sand. Update #1: I have tried contacting Sondermind by the link listed below twice. Still haven't heard anything. Update #2 Feb 25, 2026: I just got an email from Sondermind saying they can't accept my insurance. It's awesome Sondermind can check reviews online instantly but take 2 months to get a simple reply. Way to go Sondermind I hope you are proud.

Wouldn't trust them
Liked my therapist but then they waited 9 months to bill my insurance and so my insurance wouldn't pay. They charged my bank acct and I have been trying to get a refund for well over a month that they have already promised me. Ive had to contact them and the BBB bc sondermind doesn't respond. Will likely call the insurance commissioner as they continue to be unresponsive.

Heather didn’t feel present during our…
Heather didn’t feel present during our session and tried to interrupt me as I was getting into some deep trauma to tell me she likes to end the session 10 minutes before it’s supposed to be over to prepare for the next client. I’m paying for a full hour not 50 minutes.

INSURANCE COVERAGE IS IN EFFECT!
You said my insurance (MEDICARE!) had expired. I checked with Medicare and my supplement AARP/United Health, and both assured me that my insurance was still fully in effect and that payment to you would continue unabated. I want to continue to see my most excellent therapist. However, I need your assurance that you are now aware that my insurance is in full effect. Thank you.

My therapist is Victor Grimes
My therapist is Victor Grimes. It takes me a while to trust people but I'm comfortable with him. For the past two sessions, Sondermind has prevented contact thru the video chat. The issue today was that when i went to join the session, the app retained NONE of my settings and tried to push me back thru the sign-up process, insurance, and selecting a new therapy provider. If you're going to connect people, make sure you don't throw out a therapist and don't jettison user settings.

Sketchy before I ever even got started
Sketchy before I ever even got started. I chose a therapist thinking I would see the cash pay price. Nope. It booked them, then said to finish my profile. I go to do that. Ok basics, name, address, city zip, phone then your card number? I'm curious who is putting in a credit or debit card number for a completely unknown amount? It could be $100 it could be $200. I don't know there is no mention anywhere on the site or on the chosen therapist page. I cancelled that appointment immediately. Such a shame I thought that particular therapist would be a good fit. NEXT. Probably a scam to get info don't fall for it.
