Very slow. Their inland delivery service on the UK/Ireland lane is probably the worst thing that ever happened to shipping. Very slow, rude reps, and inconsistent information. I would give zero stars if it were possible.

This review is regarding their service in Angola, Africa. I used to think Maersk line is bad but hapag Lloyd is the personification of a tragic service. Since they have no competition their customer service is just as bad as the people working in the company It takes an average of 3 weeks to reply to an email, whatever the subject is,and 99% of the times no response. Which forces people to go their office which is just another layer of severe poor service The queues are massive and the average time to get help is around 4 hours of waiting! The reasons? According to the securities which try their best is that they're busy on the computers, or simply cannot attend to anyone Plus, there are no channels to submit a formal complaint! Nightmare!!!

CASABLANCA MOROCCO OFFICE it run by it self no leader to handle any situations but employees make a difference o yah when you step and complaint about poor processing as customers I don’t have to rise my voice just something is not right raison why i was not happy how it come only one employees handle everything and 3 window open with no employees but it said busy so my frustrations nobody was able to resolve the problem instead i became a target all over manager who said the security do not help him really dispointed about poor service in casablanca morocco Customer skills is none

HPL's service is terrible.

This service is a typical "over promise, under deliver" kind of company. Although the staff is friendly, their skills are lacking. They literally wrote in a email to me that the tasks that are involved in their working to release a shipment from customs was "challenging". The ship arrived May 5th. By May 19th it was still sitting there unable to be unloaded due to manifest issues which was not Hapag-Llyod issue, however, they also did not take any action to rectify the situation in a timely manner. After doing their due diligence and some Malaysian public holidays, they let the container sit there for a full 5 business days. They indicated that they needed to have staff visit the customs office personally to obtain documentation. This was unreasonable, especially given 5 full business of inaction once again. It is now June 11th and I'm still waiting. They may be friendly but they are certainly NOT professionally skilled staff.None of the things presented to them should have posed a significant challenge considering that they work in this industry and have likely come across these issues with detained containers and incorrect manifest before. Very unsatisfied customer. DO THE JOB YOU ARE PAID TO DO.

The level of customer sevrice is disasterous, do not expect any proactiveness or support from their Indian clerks... It used to be a good company, but if you want to avoid trouble now, keep away from them.

It doesn't matter how fast you can get a quote if your container gets bumped 19 times and delayed by 8 weeks. No explanations, consistently asking for paperwork and forms and resending paperwork multiple times. It doesn't matter how much your publicity says how good you are if you can't deliver on your promises. It doesn't matter how good you are with your employee friendly publicity or diversity culture if the employees cannot deliver your contractual obligations. I Hapag-Lloyd can't deliver one container for one customer you may as well shut up shop now.
