We had an amazing experience working with Tim Bradley from Solomon. My daughter got into her dream boarding school! Tim not only has intensive knowledge about boarding school and the admission process, he works well with teenagers to bring the best out of them in a way that transforms their lives! I am forever grateful for the positive experience Tim created for my daughter. We actually hired two different consulting companies and the other one, unfortunately, didn't work. I am glad that I went with Tim and Solomon!

Excellent positioning and counseling support. Our kid got accepted to his first choice Top 10 university! Big shoutout to Danielle Crowe - couldn’t have asked for a more engaged and involved counselor. Felt like she had a personal stake in our kid’s college admission process.

We had an excellent experience working with Jessica Rabalais from Solomon Admissions Consulting. Jessica’s insight into which activities and courses to focus on as well as her multiple-rounds of essay feedback played a major role in our son's college applications. We were extremely pleased with the results - acceptance to 5 out of 6 preferred universities.

My experience with Solomon was great! My consultant Matthew Tatelman was very helpful and provided insightful advice. He was responsive and readily available to meet to discuss any questions or concerns I had while also offering support and encouragement. Considering my unique circumstances, I was quite satisfied with Solomon's personalized approach. All in all, working with Matthew provided me with a level of peace of mind that I found invaluable, considering how notoriously stressful and confusing the college admissions process can be.

Dec 15th 2023, the magic day to receive the result of Early Decision. I was traveling abroad, anxiously refreshing my mailbox, calculating the timezone difference. A text message came from a friend, whose daughter was also a senior. Not a word, just a row celebration icons. She got in! Cornell! I was so happy for her! I introduced her to Ms. Cathleen Shiels after a few months my son started to work with her. A few minute later, a message came from BU. I rushed to the computer. The Internet never seemed to be so slow, that the web page is NOT loading! But the next second, before any word showed up on the screen, the falling paper firecracker popped out. Yes! He Got It! That moment of joy, only parents who had been there knew it. I hope all who has ran across my review would enjoy the moment of joy for your own child one day. I should not say that it was a surprise. With all the guidance Mrs. Shiels had given to him, the proper analysis of the enrollment competition from the whole solomon team, a good understanding and a thorough discussion with my son to understand what he really wanted, the ED application decision was NOT a random draw. It was a fine calculated strategic play. And when you are playing under the guidance of a professional coach, your winning chances are simply much greater than the amateur. It was not a lottery winning, there is no much surprises. We trusted their advises and the result was that my son got in the best approachable school he wanted to go to. But more importantly, through the strategic planning, Ms. Shiels guided my son to get to know himself better. Who he is, what he wanted. My son is NOT the most diligent, self-driven, highly disciplined child. And not the best listener to his mother! But through the process, he was directed and motivated to complete some of the most challenging research assignment. He became more and more independent in choosing his own path for his life. I have so far introduced two other friends to work with Ms. Shiels. Both had achieved their goals. Hope my review will help more parents who is still researching.

I had a great experience as a parent. Always felt that I have an expert to talk to anytime. The approach with the application strategy and school selection, creating a path to strengthen the resume, and regular check-ins with the students were really great drivers.

Our experience with Solomon Admissions was excellent. They helped our daughter gain acceptance to Cornell ED. We were initially assigned a consultant whom we weren't totally happy with, so we asked for a change. Solomon was able to accommodate us and reassigned us someone with credentials that we felt might fit our daughter's aspirations better. We started working with Cathleen Sheils during the Spring of her sophomore year. She was on point with her assessment of my daughter, recommending potential areas of study and activities that weren't on our radar, and kept our daughter on track with the necessary deliverables through her college applications journey. Her invaluable insights about what it takes to be a qualified candidate for tip tier schools, based on her years of experience, were most helpful. We decided to go with Solomon because of their large group of consultants. With their collective knowledge (consultant experiences and student past performances), they are able to objectively assess students' abilities and prescribe a work plan to maximize their chances of getting into schools of their choice. Another reason is the way they structure their pricing. We selected the number of schools that Solomon would help us with and didn't have to worry about whether it would cost more if we needed additional help. Please do read the negative comments on this site because every consultant is different so your mileage and expectations may vary. I do agree that their Editorial team is somewhat lacking. They would help pare down word count but don't expect them to suggest different concepts to expand on or another approach to your essays. There is a fine line between conservative and realistic. We were provided a list of 24 schools in four levels of selectivity, ranging from Highest Reach, High Reach, Low Reach, and Target/Likely. They offer their recommendation but ultimately, you decide which schools you want them to help your student with. Overall, we were very happy that we went with Solomon, both for the outcome as well as for the guidance that we wouldn't have provided ourselves.

We love Solomon's approach for guiding my son develop his research topic and for obtaining research opportunities with professors all on his own. This approach helped my son grow a lot during high school and is an approach that can be applied to future adventure as well. It is much better than just providing the students with solutions. Ms. Meneide, who is our consultant, is very experienced, professional and detail oriented that really provide excellent guidance in all aspects of college applications. We have a peace of mind knowing he is getting all the great support he needs and we trust Ms Meneide. Ms Meneide really makes this stressful process much easier for us.
