Allerdings stört mich, dass man die Größe der Abschnitte nicht selbst anpassen kann, Abschnitte (Article) nur dreimal pro Seite platzieren darf und im Abschnitt "Article" weder weitere Bilder noch Videos einfügen kann. Zudem fehlt die Möglichkeit, den Mastodon-Code zur Verifizierung der Website einzufügen, und bei den Social-Media-Links gibt es keine Optionen für Pixelfed, Xing oder Twitch.

Fast and easy web presence but not compliant with EU law
Creating your own website in no time is child's play and intuitive with Solo. You enter what you need for what and start with a few widgets like "About Us," "Newsletter," or "Gallery," which are pre-populated by the AI and filled with images from Unsplash. This is a good starting point for revising the text and replacing the images with your own.
Additional pages and widgets, such as "FAQ" or "Newsletter," can be added and easily updated as needed. Linking to an existing domain worked surprisingly smoothly.
I would have liked to have more control over the details. The theme's color palettes are fixed; individual colors cannot be changed. It's also not possible to freely place individual elements such as buttons, images, or the loop grid, link images or sections, or add interactive elements.
I wouldn't recommend Solo for users from the EU, as a website created with Solo is not compliant with EU law and carries a high risk of legal action. It does not comply with the GDPR and ePrivacy Regulations. According to the ePrivacy Regulation, the use of non-essential cookies and trackers requires the user's explicit consent before data can be collected. Unfortunately, it is not possible to add a legally compliant cookie banner. A scan of my Solo website found three essential and two functional trackers that send data to the USA.
Anyone who wants to run a professional online store or needs a complex website for a large company will not find what they are looking for here.
However, it is important to remember that Solo is, firstly, free and, secondly, an offering for all those who simply need a web presence but are simply overwhelmed by WordPress.

Thanks for writing a detailed review. We are working to add support more editing capabilities including the ability to edit specific colors. We are a small team and so we are adding as fast as we can but it does take time.
We are also planning a Solo Pro version with additional features that will become available under a new subscription.
Regarding EU and cookies, when you enable the cookie banner in Solo, we do not load your Google Analytics tag until the customer has accepted the cookies. We are realizing that we have a bug here and that in some instances this may not honor that and so we are fixing this. I appreciate you letting us know.
