I got burned
I, a Win7 OS user, found Softwarehubs.com offering a lifetime purchase of Adobe Premiere Elements video editor. The tech requirements on their site mention that this software is compatible with Microsoft and Mac computers. There is not other information with more specifications such as, Win8, Win10, Win11 compatible only. I have an older version and wanted to upgrade. I purchased it and when I attempted to download and install, I received a message stating that I needed Window 11. I tried this ten times hoping I was something wrong I was doing (I am not a novice). I finally requested assistance to find out what the problem was. Because I never received a reply, I sent several emails requesting assistance. Finally, a reply came. Note that I also requested a refund. Their reply was since I received the serial number and used it to attempt to install the software, a refund could not be given and that I should purchase Windows 11 to use the software. If Window11 was listed as a requirement to install and use the software, I would not have made the purchase. If I wore size 9 shoes, why would I order size 7. I feel that this was a clear case of fraud. I have sent several more requests for help but no response had come since. I contacted Adobe only to be told to contact Softwarehubs.com as they were the vendor in this transaction. UPDATE: ON FEBRUARY 21 I RECEIVED A MESSAGE FROM SOFTWAREHUBS. THEY ASKED ME THIS QUESTION: DID YOU NOT RECEIVE A SERIAL NUMBER? THIS IS A QUESTION HAVE ANSWERED TWICE BEFORE. IN ESSENCE WHAT THEY ARE TELLING ME IS, IF YOU RECEIVED A SERIAL NUMBER AND USED IT YOU CANNOT RETURN THE MERCHANDISE. IT IS A COMMON PRACTICE OF SOFTWARE VENDORS AND I UNDERSTAND THE REASONING FOR THIS. I TRIED TO RESPOND TO THE QUESTION AND THE FIVE TIMES I ATTEMPTED TO SEND MY RESPONSE, AN ERROR MESSAGE APPEARED.
