Beware of the positive reviews...
UPDATE: For the last two months, with the various Instagram updates and issues, Social Growth Engine's like exchange simply doesn't work properly. It takes days for the likes to be delivered and usually you need to chase them to manually process the likes. I've been patient with this, hoping that there would be a fix in place but things seem to be getting worst. I am not having to flag the issue on a weekly basis to get things pushed through manually when the point is to have the likes delivered in the first 1-2 hours. If you are paying for a service and it is not being delivered, they should at least be offering to compensate customers. ORIGINAL REVIEW: My experience with Social Growth engine has been mixed but broadly disappointing. I joined with the promise of 50-100 real and new followers per day. When they came nowhere close to those results, I challenged them and they told me those were general guidance only. Firstly at every step of the setup process, I followed their instructions in helping identify a target audience. For a few days, I would start seeing some growth (which was achieved by following a large number of irrelevant accounts) and then things would taper off. When I would reach out to understand why the standard response was "the maximum allowed number of actions have been taken and there is a problem with my audience targeting" (in other words, it's not us, it's you). So each time I diligently asked for more guidance, and things would pick up again for a few days before tapering off. Except that now, I was following targeting instructions (researching hashtags, refining competitor list, etc...) to a tee and was simply querying as to why results are so much less impressive that what they sell when you are considering signing up. Every time, a different customer service agent would reply the same thing (almost without really checking) "the maximum allowed number of actions have been taken and there is a problem with your audience targeting". So to sum it up, they oversell and under-deliver and if you try to press them for better results, they simply give you a canned answer placing the blame on you rather than trying to help. That is because they used heavy automation and are trying to sell as many accounts as possible rather than offering effective and tailored solutions. Decide for yourself if you think this is worth your time and money. The like exchange on the other hand is ok. It does what it's supposed to.
