The in person class content is too out of date- too much mention of chokes on sleds- long gone.

I loved the animations, the presentation, and the repetition. It really helped drive home the message of safety while snowmobiling. Unfortunately, there is myth presented as fact in the information. The fact that the majority of the body's heat is lost through the head has been debunked. Having an exposed head will certainly make your body lose more heat than having it it covered. It's a good idea to have an insulating helmet while riding to prevent frostbite & injury, but it irked me to have to answer this question on the exam. The head only represents about 10% of the body's total surface area. You would lose the same amount of heat through your head as you would any other equivalent exposed area of the body. Again, I really liked how I felt engaged the whole time and was able to pass the final exam with flying colors.
