Inadequate Analysis by the Physician
Given my symptoms, I don't believe I was fully evaluated by the physician. As it turns out, my symptoms were due largely to the fact that I was severely anemic, which was discovered after another doctor did a complete workup, including blood work. I ended up at a gastroenterologist and a colonoscopy discovered an active bleed in my Cecum. Rather than just sending me out to get a CPAP machine, I think there should have been a greater analysis of what my condition actually was.

David, we are sorry to hear that you had an issue with anemia, and glad that you had a complete workup by a primary care doctor and are doing better. One of the challenges of being so specialized is that we really do focus on managing patient's sleep disorders and leave everything else to their primary care physicians. But we're glad to hear you are getting the comprehensive care you need. Please do still treat your sleep apnea - it is a serious health issue!
