Customer Service
Learned three window sensors were not working after two years of service with Smith Thompson. When I spoke with technical department, the person instructed that our technician does not have time to check each and every window to see all window sensors are working when you sign up. Aren't their licensed technicians job is to reprogram, activate, and test the existing system we already have? What are the initial fee fo $89 is for? Also during March 2015, I learned, we did not received an alarm for glass breaker activation due to one of the bulb fell down and broke. When inquired, Smith Thompson dispatched a technician and did some work to fix this issue (god knows how many months we were paying ST for no service. They will tell you have to test the alarm weekly/monthly, I agree but don't alarm company is high tech to see why we are not receiving any alarm from this location for months? Don't they test monthly from there end to see all is working?). The tech who responded did several wire disconnect and re-connect. I am positive he left these three wired window sensors disconnected and now they want to charge a service response fee.
